i also found these 2 picture from a historcal archive awhile back from the 1930's/40's of a house taken in the fond du lac area, i do believe this is the homestead. You tell me.
Way cool pictures. Even during daylight the house looks menacing. Although boarded up, I'm sure someone could get into that place. You would think a forestry service would cut the shrubs down around the place. Anyone going at night, please take pix and post. The next full moon is Nov. 2nd, and of course the day before (11/1), Day of the Dead. I would imagine something would be captured on film at that time. Carol
I am sure of it that someone could get in, i don't know if at one time a homeless person was living there but some one from my group looked into one of the unboarded windows and saw an old dust covered can beans unopened, and a fork laying on the table as if they left in a hurry, so that even deepens the mystery of the old Phillps Homestead.
i would not advise going inside. there is an alarm that sounds as soon as it detects motion, ive done it lol. also there used to be an old sleeping bag on the ground in there. my friend also took a book from there a while ago and inside where creepy poems with messed up things about death underlined... creepy.
