WARNING-this place has been vandalised many times. It is open to public during daylight hours only.
The Snelson Brinker Cabin is the oldest house in Crawford County, Missouri. The story is that a slave girl named Mary drowned a young girl. To her punishment she was tied up in the old smoke house to keep her from rescuing her baby, which was being kept in the freezer to die. Mary was later hung in Steelville, Missouri and buried on an unmarked grave. There is a cemetery next to the cabin that holds the memorial of the little girl that Mary drowned and her sister. There are also other graves there.
I stayed the night at the cabin many times. I was there legally with my best friend who is related to the owner. We had cameras with us and we spotted some orbs and mist. My friend took some pictures of the fire, and one time the fire was dark blue, and you could see some orbs and small figures in the fire. The next times she took the pictures there would be no fire at all.
When we would get ready to go to sleep, you could hear footsteps pacing back and fourth across the fire place, like Mary is rocking her baby to sleep. You could here crying somtimes (we didn't expeience all of these things every time we stayed here).
This is a very creepy place. I love staying the night here.
One time we stayed, it was in February 08'. There are 2 rooms to the cabin. We all split up into the rooms with who ever we wanted to be with. It was me, and 3 of my other friends in the left side of the cabin (facing towards the front of the cabin) and about 12 other people in the right side of the cabin. Well the 3 of my friends were messing around and saying that you shouldn't call Mary "Slave Mary" that she doesnt like it. Because every time someone called her that something weird would happen. Like a bat would come out of complete nowhere and fly in than fly back out, or someone would trip over nothing and twist there ankel.
So the people in the left side of the cabin were smart enough not to call her by that name. The people in the right side of the cabin however was practically cussing her out. The room was EXTREMEMLY cold, even with a fire going. (There was a fire going in both rooms) and everyone in that room was uneasy, and the atmosphere was very tense.
The left side of the cabin was very warm, and the fire was fairly new. And it was just like a good sleepover. Things were lost in the right side of the cabin, like flashlights, shoes, cameras, etc.
Well, there is a lot more to the story but Im not going to say it all right now. If theres any more you want to know feel free to ask
THIS PLACE IS PRIVATE PROPERTY DURING NIGHT HOURS, DO NOT STAY THE NIGHT WITHOUT PROPER PERMISSION!
