I had a crazy experience last night. My apartment building is pretty old, probably at least 100, I think back in the day it used to be a flop house. Anyways last night when I got home from the bar I sat quietly in the darkness of the living room on the sofa. I live in a 7plex. We are on the second floor. The apartment right above us comes with an included piano. At some point they got it in, but they cannot get it out. It was around 3am. As I sat there in the quiet I heard it start playing for about 5 seconds, then it stopped. I listened carefully and after about 30 I heard it play again for about 3 seconds. I know its possible that someone up there played it, but it was a bit odd that it broke out into a full song for such a short amount of time.

its common for radios and tvs to turn on and stuff...it could be just an electrical circuit!!

yea circuits dont do that... if anything it would be a faulty switch. and it happening to multiple objects when they were unpluged?? yea ..

highly unlikely since pianos are usualy not electrical. however i do find it strange that it started for a few seconds, stopped and started agian for even less time.

there is a big difference in regulay pianos and player pianos that play themself... its not hard to distinguish the two...

gotta ask, are there people who live in apartment with the piano? They could of been the ones playing it and realized that there are OTHER people in the building so they quietly stopped playing it out of respect for the neighnors at that time of the night.
also not to say that you're lying or anything, but you stated you "got in from the bar at 3am" could you had been drunk at the time and THOUGHT you heard it? drinking a few beers or whatever can distort you mind and sense of hearing.
