quote part of ghostrider: "It sounds as if Ghostrider is providing you with good advice. I know our group would tell you the same thing. You are the ones who live in this home now and inhabit this life, whatever is causing problems has no power unless you fear. Fear is a powerful emotion that can manifest some very frightening and very real experiences, especially when it affects your child. As a family say you will not be afraid anymore, and mean it. If something happens, laugh and say you don't have the power of fear over me or my family anymore. If things continue, it is not uncommon to contact the clergy of your choice."
i love this part when you talked about fear. sometimes at night when im trying to go to sleep i would hear something moving. of coarse i would get goose bumps but i ignore it and just say "shh im trying to go to sleep!" and i turn around and go back to sleep. i believe that ghosts or demons or whatever it is would generally feed off of fear energy better than any other energy.
oh i have a question for you mark. how come people always put say put salt about the room or put it in a circle?

I actually would be worried about that. Maybe it's nothing but whenever something give you a name like that that isn't a name at all it should be considered demonic first to prevent harm.

Carrie,
I might anger some here with my response to your question about why people tell others to put salt in a circle or in their corners. I mean no disrespect for others beliefs, but I have to say there is absolutely no proof or evidence that proves this repels ghosts, spirits, demons, or whatever. The only thing I think salt will protect you from are snails.
Taking the time to properly investigate the situation and looking for real answers for the reason people are experiencing things, will better help them than telling someone to put salt in their house. I know that my team would never even think of giving such advice. We are not witch doctors! To be sure there are things that happen that sometimes we can not explain, but you can not jump to conclusions.
If we want to seriously investigate the paranormal we have got to stop telling people to use paranormal means to prove or disprove paranormal activity. Boys and Girls, it is time to hang up the ouija boards, divining rods, crystals, and the like and start using tested equipment and procedures to study and investigate the paranormal.

mark,
You didn't really answer my question. er i geuss you sorta did but i ment why do they think it'll protect them? what "meaning" does the salt have? is it because it's used in holy water??
I should have asked the question more precisely.

Carrie,
I have heard it is meant to keep out spirits. But, that is all I know about it from hearing others mention it. In all reality, I don't know the significance of salt. I do know that no one has been able to prove to me that there is any proof it is supposed to help. Like I said before, I don't believe potions do anything to promote paranormal investigations.

ok. sorry im late on explaining this. salt is a pure substance in the fact of witch craft. and i noe u mean no offense. its good to have a skeptic in the group. but i have used it many times and it has helped somewhat. but i have never used "potions" as u said. lol. and i agree using scientific procedures is a wonderful thing but sometimes u have to use the paranormal against the paranormal. if that made any sense.
