ok, I just reread the entire thread again, too.....
cerberus, you never really gave us a "conclusion" - I mean, did you go out to your friend's place for the purpose of "investigating" and if so, what were your opinions on the whole thing?
Did you experience anything yourself?
I definitely agree with your sentiments about not just "jumping to conclusions" that any "unexplained phenomenon" is "evil" or "demonic" - !!!! This is exactly how I look at all "experiences" of this nature...in fact, as I've gotten older, I think I might be coming to the conclusion that "true evil" really doesn't exist. Some people do some very "evil things" in the course of their lives - but I guess I believe that's what "evil" really is....it's something that we human beings create.
Anyway, all of that is a very different discussion....
What exactly happened with the "shadow people" that your friend was seeing?

I talked to him a few weeks ago and he said there haven't been any recent sightings, I did try to schedule a night over the summer to check it out and I never got a response back on when to go. I'll try to get in touch with him soon and see if I can get another update.
And I agree, I don't believe there is any true evil out there really. Sure, some people do some bad things in their lives, but that behavior is learned through environmental factors, they aren't born that way.

yeah - it has always seemed very, very strange to me that people will "jump to the conclusion" that an "experience" (such as actually seeing "shadow people" like we're talking about here) is "evil" or "demonic" in nature.
Why would we jump to such a conclusion?
What were these "apparitions" doing that would cause somebody to characterize them as evil?
Usually - it's nothing more then we happen to catch a brief glimpse of such an apparition (like a shadow person) - we'll see them for a fraction of a second and we really don't witness them doing anything at all, if we want to be honest with ourselves.
So I can't understand why anybody would decide that whatever it was that they saw would have to be some sort of "evil demon" - to me, personally (just my own humble opinion again) it seems like the individuals want to characterize the experience as "contact with a demon" (or whatever) - they want to tell themselves they've just had a "BRUSH WITH EVIL" when nothing "evil" actually occured.
Anyway, cerberus - if you do get any "updates" on all of this, definitely write about them on here, please! Some of us do find all of this to be seriously interesting!

I think people just have that tendency to classify anything they don't know about as "evil" or "foreign" simply because they don't understand the true nature of it. This is why we investigate spirits, to try to find proof of their existence and help people to understand what they are experiencing, not to fear it. Although some people I feel say its evil simply because they want to have something to brag about to others. Anyways, when i get updates, i'll let y'all know.

OK shadow people will be of no real harm unless they want to be. Most of the time its a ghost or energy trying to manifest if it isn't hurting anyone then maybe it should just be left alone. contact may not even be possible. It depends of if its just residual, kind of like a piece of film playing over and over again.

One more thing, no spirit is evil unless you give it the power to be, and it can't hurt you unless you let it. If you will tell your friend not to be afraid of it especially if it hasn't done anything.
