Hi- about a year and a half ago I put up a post about what happened to me in 1997. One person said they knew someone it happened to in California. Other than that, nobody had ever heard of this happening (Including Chad when I met him).
Anyway, in 1997, I was driving down a road in June about 1:30 a.m. with a friend. A bright light swooped down to my driver's car window and traveled with us for probably 3-5 seconds, and then it went over the car and was traveling along the passenger. Then it vanished. There was no noise - nothing. The next day there was a white residue on my car - like balloon material. It was truly terrifying what happened to us.
THEN (THIS IS THE FREAKING PART) I read on Yahoo a week and a half ago about a report of a guy in England who had an almost identical similar experience happen to him - also in 1997. Not sure if I found relief from this because of validation or am more scared. This guy got a skin rash. So did I - and I still do!
Well thanks for letting me post - I'm sure I will never know what this was that happened to me, but I know it scared me enough at the time for me to not go out at night for 6 months after, nor will I EVER go back down that road (that road was not deserted - it is fairly busy, but not on a Sunday night). It was in Willow Springs, Illinois by the way, on Rt 83.
Thanks Diana

Hi Diana,
Just to let you and others know that Willow Springs, Il is HAUNTED ground. Many restaurants in that city have activity, and back in the day, Al Capone and his gang hung around an old roadhouse that was also used for prostitution. Type in haunted Willow Springs, Il in your server and you will see there are many sites. What 1997, the white residue plus rash means, who knows? And that happened in England too. Really strange. I wonder if UFOs were sighted in both areas, and left some kind of substance. Not good in speculating, but perhaps you will get some insight once you check out the websites themselves. Also, Willowbrook Springs had that famous ballroom with Resurrection Mary, and the Grimes sisters' murder also took place. Good luck, and I hope this is helpful. Carol

Hi Carol - thanks for writing. I will definitely check that all out. My friend was cousins with the Grimes sisters - yikes - but it's never talked about. Glad you posted!
Take care, Diana

to explain the silent light it could have simply been an owl, and it may have appeared to just be a flash of light. there was an episode on Monsterquest about moth man explaining how an owl can appear to many as something very different. They say a sighting may seem like it lasts for a few seconds, when it really was only a fraction of that. Also, the owl may appear much bigger for reasons that are to long to explain on here. Here is the link to the video if u care to watch: www.history.com/shows/ufo-hunters/videos/mothman-legend#mothman-legend. He is said to be in wisconsin, and better yet, the county where i live. I for one, believe it is just an owl. To explain the residue on the car that could simply be dust from gravel or salt from the road, depending on what time of year you were driving. If you had just washed your car, the dust seem even more likely to stick. Trust me, i know the properties of dust on cars, i drive through the junk every day! The rash could simply be from allergies. It is even more likely that you experience a lot of stress from the incident. It is very possible to get a rash from anxiety and stress.

A rash wouldn't last this long unless it was scratched often. It could have been a ghost trying to manefest, but don't take my word on it. Just a thought.
