Aight thanks that's the house that I'm talking about and it's in someones backyard basically so idk if you can visit it.
As for the coffee can woods I don't think there's any information on it on the internet. I don't remember the real story of it but basically some guy killed a bunch of people and put some of their body parts in coffee cans and hid them around the woods. I think the woods are located somewhere by Platteville. I don't exactly know much about it but this is what I've gathered from people that I know.

Mr. Coffee, killed his wife in an insurance scam, cut her up and buried her body in the woods out near the trailer park on the way to D-ville on Hwy 151 on the same side of the road as the trailer park. The field is right before the trailer park. The articles are in the Platteville paper , he was caught and sent to prison, I think near Green Bay , he either died there or he to was murdered. I can't recall all the peculiars about the case. Platteville was a lead and zinc mining area, there are shafts all over town, some at the university , a couple of the old dorms where built on top of them and now the buildings are sinkingStrange things have been known to happen all over town and at he Mound.

....hummmmm.....wait a minute.....
ok - no. I just tried "EVIL MR COFFEE" and I don't even want to talk about what that brings up....
anyway, nothing about coffee can woods!

I guess you'll have to research it at the UWP library like she said. I would really like to go there since I'm from this area. Let me know if you find anything.

FINALLY - I FOUND A REFERENCE TO COFFEE CAN WOODS ON THE INTERNET!!!!!! this is on a "photography website" used by different colleges and universities - there is a whole section where UW students of photography have posted pictures they've taken as part of their coursework.... photographyexchange.wordpress.com/category/u-of-wisconsin-madison/page/3/You have to scroll about halfway down that page and look for the name "CANDACE REES" - she posted two very amazing pictures on Feb. 13th, 2009 - these are pictues of the inside of the house where "evil Mr Coffee" lived! Here's what she said: "Series documents a haunted forest/house where a man was said to have killed his family and buried them in coffee cans throughout the woods. The family’s belongings still remain scattered throughout the house."

That just the beginning, there are many stories in the area,The local paper is the Platteville journal, there is a FBI agent buried in the Hazel Green cemetery . Check the Wisconsin State journal, for this one. The people who settled the area were of Irish, English, and French backgrounds.

Does anyone know of any other good places that are haunted in the southern/central Wisconsin area. If anyone has any ideas please comment. I am looking for places like 1.5 hours north or south of madison or ANYWHERE in the southern/central Wisconsin area. Just comment if you have anything I don't care where it's at or what it is. I just need some places since I couldn't find much on my own. Thanks

Ridgeway, Dodgeville are two good places, there is a house I believe on main street ,( the main street in Dodgeville is called Iowa,) The house is across from the Congrational church, 2nd from the corner I believe A woman fell down the steps caring a oil lamp, wearing a long dress , she died at the bottom of the steps there is a stain there they can't get rid of, and out by the smelter on the old way to Hollandale is another place. The ridgeway ghost has been seen on the old Military trail between dodgeville and ridgeway , it is a bike trail I believe now. I live in Lodi and I've heard very little around here, but I haven't poked around much.

I havent heard of the place on the way to Hollandale but I have heard of the Ridgeway Phantom, but just don't know where exactly it has been seen at. If you can tell me more about them that would be great and any other place you can think of. I really don't care how far they are as long as theyre not like 5-6 hours away. Thanks

The Ridgeway Phantom has been seen on and off for a number of years Near Ridgeway on Hwy 151, that whole stretch between Dodgeville and Madison has History to it, The Book Wisconsin Lore has some more information in and there is a web site that has some information about Southern Wisconsin, I'll see if I can locate it for you.

Good grief. I have never heard of this story, and it's interesting!
As much as I dwell on Wisconsin history of people that committed crimes, this one will make me look at my empty coffee cans a little different in the future.
How long ago was this?
