hello to all, i just thought i'd share a few experiences i've had in regards to my (well, my parents) house. A couple weeks ago I was testing my EMF detector down in the basement when i discovered an energy field near the back of it that hadn't previously had a field. walking through the area, i stopped at the wall and turned back around to find that the field was no longer registering on the detector (it's a KII). My parent's were out of town that week so nobody else was home, but I heard a creaking noise from the main floor that sounded like a footstep. I went back upstairs and proceeded to scan the rest of the house but found nothing until i went into the spare bedroom that my grandmother (before she moved out and later died) had lived in. The whole area above the bed had an energy field over it and when i tried to do a response test, i received an intelligent response. Now sometimes the energy field is not there over the bed, and i think it may move between the basement and that spare bedroom, but i don't know if there are other areas in the house besides those that it goes to. I've also heard that footstep sound recently too as of yesterday afternoon, except that i was on the same floor. Anyways, i thought i'd share my experience with all of you. thanks for reading and any input/advice would be appreciated!

It's possible. I didn't discover the presence until the beginning of last month, which her 92nd birthday would have been on the 28th of September (coincidentally also my parent's anniversary), however, she still seems to be here yet. Even though I don't have a problem with it, it can be a bit hair-raising at times being home alone hearing footsteps near the hallway.

i've never been bothered at night thus far. i always felt a bit weird walking into that room, like the atmosphere was a bit heavy. of course, now that i know that there's a intermittent EMF field in the room that usually is found above the bed, that probably explains it.

so cerberus...I also have a thread on here about my "haunted house" as well, so I want to ask you something......
How do you "feel" (just in general) when you are in the house? I guess I'm asking about the "vibe" or "energy" of the place....I really don't know the best way to say it. See, I love my house - I really feel nothing "negative" at all even when I'm home alone and I've just heard some unexplainable sound or seen some wisp of movement from the corner of my eye or whatever. If houses have their own "vibe" which can be felt by the people inhabiting them, I'd say that my home has a very positive vibe.
I'd have a whole different outlook on all of this if I lived in a place that seemed to have any sort of "negative energy" - I think our lives have enough stress in them as it is, so I could never live somewhere that just "felt wrong" if you see what I'm saying. My advice to anybody who does experience any sort of "negative feelings" from the place where they live would only be to find a new place to live - a place where you feel nothing but a "positive" sort of energy.
You talked about walking into your grandmother's former room and feeling that the "atmosphere was a bit heavy" - but how do you feel about the whole house in general?
Does the whole house seem to have that "heavy atmosphere" at times or not? In general (apart from your grandmother's room) - does the house seem to have a "positive" or "negative" feel to you?

In general the house has a positive vibe to it and I certainly don't mind being here in it. There are times where I do feel like i'm being watched a bit. It's mostly just that room which feels a bit different. We use it more for storage now if anything, and nobody has slept in there in probably the past five years. I don't know if it is directly related to what i've experienced, since sometimes it's closed off and probably doesn't receive as much airflow, which could cause the atmosphere to be a bit stagnant in there. My grandmother had lived with us for a while back in the early 90's after we bought the house until we found her an assisted living apartment and she moved out. She died in 2000. Since she moved out, my other set of grandparents used to use that room when they came down from Michigan to see us.
It didn't always have that feel in that room. Of course, I didn't begin to pick up on those types of things until a bit later in life like in 2005 when my Aunt Evelyn died. It would be another two years until I actually took a serious interest in the paranormal.
Either way, the fact stands that there's a large EMF field that seems to center around the bed in the room (usually over the bed, at about 1 inch above, sometimes extending a foot or so up. There is one electronic clock in the room near there that's always on, although sometimes it ends up resetting (supposedly due to "mini power surges/outages"). When up close to it, my detector does pick up a strong EMF reading, but it has to be super close to do so, and the range doesn't extend that far from it. It does not explain either how sometimes that field is absent from over the bed, but instead in the basement.

:)Something to make you giggle, for the last month when I have been over by my kitchen stove, I have noticed a movement out of the corner of my eye, a long thin whispy thing, believing in the paranormal I was thinking okay , my stove is haunted, it works just fine, Then my cats started acting strangly, prowling around the kitchen and finally watching the stove, either from the counter or the floor, Finally I saw the whispy thing , a mouses tail as it disappeared into the top of my stove ... Well the cats have a had a field day at least 5 mice have been caught the stove throughly cleaned an traps set. Sometimes seeing things out of the corner of your eyes can be interesting simple. ;D

I haven't seen anything yet, although if i do i'll be sure to let y'all know. Thus far its strictly been hearing footsteps, and a couple intelligent answers given when combined with the KII sessions.
