So my wife and I recently moved to WI, we live in Whitnall Pointe Apts in Franklin. Ever since we moved in, I felt really creeped out by the woods behind the apt, never experienced anything though. A few weeks ago I was cooking on my grill on the back patio when i heard a noise right behind me, thinking it was a raccon or a possum I turned quickly to scare it off, but it was a very large deer, just staring at me at a distance of like 9-10 feet. He didn't move at all, just kept staring, i was shocked at this and went inside my apt and closed the door, the deer stayed there for like 7 mins then left. A couple days later my wife and i were sleeping, it happened at 2:05am, we both woke up at the same time to this TERRIBLE noise coming from outside, it sounded like dogs barking, people screaming and running with a high pitched ringing sound like when you pop your ears. i jumped up and looked out the window and there was nothing there but the noises seemed to be coming from the woods when i opened the window. It lasted for about 10mins. afterwords we went back to sleep, the next morning i went outside to look around and there were 3 sets of footprints from the woods to my patio, not shoe prints, barefoot prints in the snow. Showed em to my wife and she thinks i made em, questioned our roomate and he said it wasnt him, at this point we were pretty creeped out. 3 days ago the noises came back and they were much closer and my roomate woke up too, we both went outside to look around with flashlights but the noises stopped as soon as we got to the woodline, we didn't get back to sleep that night. I spent the night researching the property, maybe somebody knew what these scary noises were or is hearing them also. I found out that the park is haunted by a female ghost and her baby, also that a young boy was murdered nearby. we don't feel unsafe, but i am definatley scared of whats outside at night to the point where we don't leave the blinds open at all and the doors and windows remain locked at all times.
