I spoke with Liz Pollock (Monsterquest producer) a number of times trying to help her gather stories with physical evidence but unfortunately there just isn't any. I would like to believe there is something in Cumberland, however the area is pretty well populated with Farms and vacation Cabins that it would have to be an extremely remote area that anything out of the ordinary would live.

Hi! I found the online story about the Cimberland Bigfoot a few years back, but did not realize there was a forum to discuss it until a few days ago.
My late husband was a Native American Elder and Traditional Healer who worked with many people in Wisconsin (although he never lived there). Both he and I know the Cupp family (he for many years) and have visited both homes and know the area they live in quite well. (The persons living in the neighbor's house are also members of the Cupp family.)
The Cupp family has been faced with many challenges over the years -- as have most families -- and I am sure there are some who have reason not to believe everything they say. But I do know that they told this story to my husband when it happened and that they would not have been anything less than truthful to him since he was an Elder and a "medicine man." He did provide them with counseling regarding it, but what he told them is not for public knowledge.
My husband and I were told that there had been numerous sightings of Bigfoot-type creatures in the area for almost a half-century. Around the area where this sighting occured some members of the Cupp family told my husband that they found flattened plants and grass that looked like something large had lain there. There was also some talk that Loretta's house may have been built right on a walking route used by these beings.

I have heard of Bigfoot reports near the Rice Lake area as well.
