Thousands of European starlings are putting on a daily air show in San Rafael to the delight of visitors from around the bay.
Note!
The birds soar in sweeping formations over the Mount Olivet Catholic Cemetery in north San Rafael.
SLIDESHOW: Images Of Birds
You can watch raw video of the site by clicking on the picture in the upper right corner of this story.
The starlings swoop together forming black cloud-like patterns across the sky reminiscent of scenes out of a Alfred Hitchthingy film.
The photographer who shot the video said that his pictures do not do the event justice. Alex Bozovic said his jaw "literally dropped" as he watched the birds go into random formation.
Sam Shillinglaw, of San Rafael, told NBC11, "It's like a giant natural lavalamp … organic lavalamp I guess, if you would."
Gerry Mahoney, from Larkspur, told NBC11 she found the formations musical.
The president of the Marin Audubon Society said he expects the show to continue until the end of breeding season in early spring.
The birds tend to put on their best performance in the late afternoon.
NBC11 will have a full report on this story tonight on the news at 6 p.m.
I found on another site where birds where acting weird a few years back..
Note..
Studies have proven animals act weird right before certain world activities such as...Tornadoes and Earthquakes
**************************************************
I also noted that earthquakes did in-fact happen around some of these weird animal activities.
Is this another warning of sort from heaven?
I guess time will tell.
