Hello all,
I am new to this website, and all I want to do is tell about my experiences/interest with "ghost hunting".
It started when I was in high school and going to "haunted houses" became the same old waiting in line for 2 hours in the cold, going through the house.. and I was that guy that would just make fun of the whole event. I wanted a real thrill, and I was just interested in the paranormal. I found a book of my mothers called: Haunted Wisconsin... or something along those lines.I found a story in Germantown about Mary Booth. So I told my best friend about and he even knew about the story before I told him. He heard it from some friends at his high school and how they went there etc etc. So one weekend night we both set off for Mary Booths house. For anyone that doesn't know the story I wont get into it, but do a search on google for "Mary booth haunt-WI" and it will give ya the jist of it. I was the one that usually read all the stories and would fill Jason in on all the details. The only thing he knew about Mary booths was that if you leave your car unlocked and you come back it will be locked. We got to the house and went up the driveway and just looked around. I wondered away from him just to get my own vibe, and this was my very first experience I didn't know much about the signs of ghosts etc. I got very cold then warm again, I smelled smoke and there was nothing burning, (it was also 2am) we were only 10-15 ft away from each other and we got closer to each other and I had the feeling like something or someone was right in front of me, it was overwhelming. not harmful but it was like someone was a couple inches from my face, I started to panic though. I walked quickly down the long drive.. then faster, then Jason went faster before we knew it we were running to the car. We got to the car and the doors were locked, we both immediately looked at each other without saying a word knowing darn well we said before we left the car "make sure its not locked" and then checking when we got out the first time. It just added to the experience. I only came back one more time with a couple more people. but most were to chicken to go up. In high school it was hard to find anyone really interested in the paranormal, and not just trying to scare yourself or the person next to you...
Also I wanted to add why hasn't anyone else commented on Mary Booth's story. it is a genuine story that has a lot to back it up. The only thing I could not find was the cemetery of the family. I didn't really get enough time. With that said I also do NOT advise anyone to go on this property, its is owned and lived in by someone that probably deals with dumb kids every weekend.
