Is this place visible from the road? I am curious, but not looking to get a ticket. Thanks.

I am asking anyone who plans to go out to this property not to disrespect it. Haunted or not you are going on someone else's property. Thanks

Way cool pictures. Even during daylight the house looks menacing. Although boarded up, I'm sure someone could get into that place. You would think a forestry service would cut the shrubs down around the place. Anyone going at night, please take pix and post. The next full moon is Nov. 2nd, and of course the day before (11/1), Day of the Dead. I would imagine something would be captured on film at that time. Carol I am sure of it that someone could get in, i don't know if at one time a homeless person was living there but some one from my group looked into one of the unboarded windows and saw an old dust covered can beans unopened, and a fork laying on the table as if they left in a hurry, so that even deepens the mystery of the old Phillps Homestead. i would not advise going inside. there is an alarm that sounds as soon as it detects motion, ive done it lol. also there used to be an old sleeping bag on the ground in there. my friend also took a book from there a while ago and inside where creepy poems with messed up things about death underlined... creepy.

Definitely an interesting place. It doesn't seem like they want anybody messing with it though. From what everybody is saying and the pictures it looks like vandals have been disrespecting the place for a long time. I wonder who owns it and if they would welcome an investigation.

Its owned by Dr. Alan Stormo, he lives on Sheboygan St, in Fond Du Lac. Idk if he would allow an investigation call him and ask, his phone numbers on yellow pages. Found this information thro Fond Du Lac county gis.

If that is the story it looks like it is the anniversary. The paper is dated 03/25/85. It doesn't says exactly what day the bodies were found but it had to happen a couple days before it made it into the newspaper.
