We took our 3rd trip to Weary Road on sunny Saturday afternoon. As we were driving down the main stretch between Tuttle and the bridge we saw a farmer in a pick up truck stopped in the middle of the road and 2 older folks standing outside the truck talking to the driver. We drove past slowly and then about 50 feet past them I stopped. I asked Jeff if we should go back and talk to them about the legend. Jeff didn't know if we should but I didn't want to pass up the oppurtunity. I put the car in reverse and we slowly backed up. The conversation went something like this. I apologized for bothering them and asked them if they had a moment. Then we said we wanted to ask questions about the legends and the road. The lady said to the two gentlemen "I told you". We asked if there was really a Weary family who once lived on the road. The lady said that yes the road was put in 20s and there was a Weary family who lived on the road.

We asked if they knew where the property was and if they had a house had burned down. They said that the Weary's lived on a farm near the train track crossing. The house was burned down intentionally in the 50's because someone purchased the property and the house was burned for them to build a new house there. This is the place.

We brought up the incident that we had on the bridge with the black truck that drove off into the field. The driver of truck who was sitting on the road said "That was probably Ronnie". We asked if this Ronnie owned the field by the bridge and he said yes.

We asked if anyone was hung in the tree by the bridge and they said, that it had not happened. They did say something about a car accident where the car is still abondoned in the woods (I think that this is in the woods by the bridge, and the guy lived). They also said something about some graves somewhere on or by weary that somehow coming up from the ground. So no Old Man Weary on our 3rd visit, but we have still only gone once at night. I have to admit, we were a little disappointed, we liked all the mystery that surrounds the road. Then again just because the legends may not be true doesn't mean that there is not something going on at Weary Road.

Wow, Weary Road looks beautiful in the fall. I just might have to take a trip up there with some people to check it out. Even if there's nothing going on, it would at least be beautiful scenery.

Sorry if you can't see these photos. When I uploaded them you could see the photos well on the computer we used, yet on my work computer barely anything is visable.

Great night photos omw. It reminded me of my last trip to Witch Road at night. I experienced a dog barking viciously along the side of my car that could have been a hellhound. There were no houses anywhere near where this took place.

wow!!!!! it looks very dark there. Tons of orbs too,I think the big orb by the bridge is from the creek below. Looks like someone spray painted "redrum" on the bridge recently, since it wasn't there when we were last april 2007. On the last photo , what are the red lights on the far right

The red lights are from a huge antenna that is right next to Weary. I hope you all can see the detail in the photos. Depending on the computer you can see more or less. In the actual photos you can see quite a bit more than I can see on here. You could try messing with the contrast, more might show up. Anyway, we had fun, nothing really happened except my friend Jeff said that he saw this figure that looked like a person standing by the trees for a split second, he said it might have been his imagination, but regardless he jumped a little bit. We wanted to get out but the corn hasn't been cut yet and it comes right up close to the road right behind the trees. As we left the road we drove past the old Weary property pictured up above and there was and old black pickup parked right under the light by the barn. It was our second time at night and 4th trip total, Next time at night makes 3... Shoot maybe we should go tonight at midnight, 3rd night trip to Weary on Halloween, EEEEEKKKK!!!

Happy Halloween Everyone! We went last night. We finally got out of the car, first time I've done that at night. We parked by the trees and walked a way down to the bridge. A car was coming so we hid in the cornfield. Nothing really happened much, my friends wanted to keep walking the road which freaked me out because I kept hearing something in the corn following us, they said it was the wind, but I heard more then the wind. We were on the bridge at midnight. We saw a few cars no other people outside their cars. The only other thing that happened is we almost his a deer 1 mile before getting back to Madison. I had to slam on the brakes and swerve into the other lane on the highway to miss it.
