hey kathy the house i'm in right now with my parents and dog is like an old one that the owners built or something like that, but anyway every once in awhile at night if i'm in my room or in the hallway i have a feeling like i'm being watched when both my parents are asleep and my dog is too but when i look nothing is there and it freaks me out but for some reason it only does that when there are others in the house but they are either asleep or nowhere near me to see me. what do u think it is?

Well Raven,
First let me say that a ghost cannot harm you so there is not need to be afraid of it.
Most people have a spirit in the house. There are different kinds of spirits, such as visitors- this could be a family member checking up on them, or someone who had lived in the house before just checking on things in the house.
You may have a spirit in the house just checking up on you to see why you’re still up or checking on you to see if you’re ok.
I know the feeling of knowing someone is there and of being watched. And yes it can be unnerving. But do not encourage it. If the feeling becomes too frequent, then tell who ever to leave you alone.

If your impression was your grandfather when you have that feeling of being watched, then it could very well be him.
I grew up in a house that had a ghost or 2 in it. When we would hear noises or something was missing we would say Rachael did it. When my mother paid off the house she received the list of names of the people who owned the house before her and one of the names was Rachael. Was it her spirit haunting the house? We will never know.

i have had an experience with a shadowman. it was about a year ago. my parents had already went to bed and all of our dogs were in the bed as well. anyways. i finally was able to lay down and i had left my door slightly cracked. just a little info about my house. my bedroom is right across from the bathroom and my parents room. my parents always leave their door open. and i always shut the bathroom door before i go to bed. so i know it wasnt a play of light of reflections. so anyways. i always take a while to fall asleep. but for some reason i had this weird sensation that i wasnt alone. when i looked around i didnt see anything. so i tried to go back to sleep. i had just closed my eyes when i heard a creak. when i opened my eyes i saw my door start to close and there was a figure of a man in a hat that looked like a top hat. i have had visits from ghosts before but this one actually oozed an evil intent. i closed my eyes and prayed to GOD to protect me against any evil spirits. and when i opened my eyes there was nothing and my doors was still. but not where i had left it. i quickly turned my light on and went into my parents room and was going to tell my mom. but she was already up. she told me that she had felt like someone had hit her side of the bed three times with a closed hand as if to wake her up. and as soon as she did she felt this presence and she had a feeling to go into my room and make sure everything was ok. that same night we went into my room and prayed and told the spirit to leave that he wasnt welcome anymore. and so far i havent seen nor felt him again. so i guess that worked.
