haha vampires, thats kinda mine domain their legends as you know come from Transilvanya(thats where I live), well in my entire life I haven't saw a vampire, even if I've heard a lot of rumors or legends... once even in one of the most populated tv news they mentioned about a man who had died but after that he haunted and tormented his family, they've got the permision to dug him up from the grave, and after 6-7 monther when he died they found his body in a different possition, stained with blood... well yes people took vampire things seriously, sincerlly for me its very hard to believe this things but it would be great, I even wish I met a vampire:)... and if were talking about vampires, maybe the first name that it comes in mind is Dracula, well he was called vampire for more reasons(my opinion) 1.His real name was Vlad Tepes, and his fathers name was Vlad Dracul. Dracul translated from romanian means satan, devil, lucifer or however you call it, and this was one motiv why he was called the son of satan, devil, lucifer. 2.He was a very cruel person he used a very bloody tehnick(I don't know how its called in english in romanian would sound 'a tras oamenii in teapa') where he put up spikes(huge ones) and he droped the people there to die in horrific death and in torture. Some say he killed so many people that way that some spiked forrests appreard, all dead by his hand. 3.Some say but I personaly don't believe it(I don't think there are some records about this), that he used to do bath in the blood of his dead enemies or killed virgins.(who knows maybe its true, maybe there were so pshichopatic people) 4.And yes the 4th point the one, the only thing which makes be to believe that its made up, its the time. Yes in that time the 15th century (by the way he lived between 1431-1476) the people the villigers were very superstitious and could made a lot of things up. Why they would make them up? Well maybe for gelozy or hatred for him(His father was the governor of Translivanya, and he was uhm 'Voievod'? sory I don't know the translation for this function), and 2nd thing maybe the people overexagerated. Maybe they saw like 30-50 people in spikes the next said he heard there were 100 the next heard there was a full forest and the last heard there were more forests, and so on. Well sory for bad english...

But most stories of vampires are far from the kind you hear of now. They weren't the gentlemenly creatures you see in movies, no they were things that had the traits of animals and almost were animals.

Vampires from the first stories weren't even recognizable as once being human. They looked like human bodies but withered and dried up.

ummmm ya vampires aren't real. they are just a figment of your imagination. its like saying unicorns and big foot are real. they are make believe. not real. obvoiusly if you think of vampires you automatically think of count dracula. he was just a psycho like Hitler. He had wanted to only kill. and killing a 100 was never enough. even when they locked him up in his i think tower/room? he would sit there and use little pieces of wood to stake rats that would crawl into his room. thats why they called him that. because of all the ppl he has killed its the only relation to why he has been called a vampire in the first place. plus they say he still haunts his castle in Transylvania. just watch the episode of the most scariest places on earth. and they have the episode of ppl actually going there and the story behind the castle.

To put Bigfoot and unicorns together and say they are both fantasy is bull sh*t. I suggest you educate yourself more about Bigfoot...

okie dokie; first things first. Personal opinion here, so don't go jumpin down my throat, I think vampires are like an urban legend. something happened back in the day in Transylvania and everyone thought this Dracula guy was a "vampire". Word spread and just went out of control to become one of the biggest legends of all time. I do believe though that some people get sooo caught up in this legend they actually do think they are vampires. They drink blood, get their fangs implanted in at the dentist, practice "vampirism" (if thats a word lol) and truely believe they are vampires. Doesn't mean they are, they just think they are. Okay, now bigfoot. Bigfoot is a totally different story. Have I seen one before, no. Have I seen enough evidence to prove that there is bigfoot maybe. But just like everything else it comes down to what you truely believe. I believe bigfoot does exist, I think there is such an abundant amount of evidence its hard to not believe; but there are some nay sayers. My argument is that there are just too much history, too many prints, too many eye witnesses for them all to be hoaxers. You can disagree if you want, but I believe that one day soon we will have hard concrete evidence that Bigfoot exists. I believe there already is hard evidence, but nay sayers still don't believe. Discovery or national geo. one of those guys went to a fishing cabin in canada. The only way to get there was to fly in by plane and land on the lake. The closest town has about 250 people and is over 75 miles away. The researchers took a piece of plywood and put screws in it, and placed it upright on the porch. That way if anything stepped on it it was tear the flesh and get whatever DNA they could. Well something did step on it, something big. The footprint of blood was the size of your typical bigfoot print. Thats not what convinced me though. There was blood and hair left behind. The hair was sent to a leading Wildlife Biologist in MN. He couldn't identify the hair with any primate or animal in the Northern Hemisphere. The DNA was sent to... I don't remember the college but some research lab, the initial results took a few weeks. It came back as a "hybrid". It was mostly human/primate DNA, but there were about 3 sections of the DNA they could not identify with any living creature on Earth. They said it would take 3 years to try to tear apart the DNA; piece by piece. But that is enough evidence for me. How else could they they blood and flesh with DNA that doesn't fully match a human, doesn't fully match a primate, and mysteriously has 3 sections of DNA that has never been seen before? Just my opinion though okay i'm off my soap box

ok fine then they are all real! just tell me one thing. why are all of those thing categorized in fiction? mean common guys! why are you guys saying big foot and unicorns are real? well atleast why are you saying big foot it real? i mean sure they may have been real or super rare but its like trying to say that the dodo birds are still alive but they hide in the depths of the earth. i dont see the point in that. also if vampires were real then why do people tend to make things up like they bite you and they end up sucking all your blood. it really makes no since as to how or why they were really made up. and the only reason why people started to make up vampires was because of count dracula. they only said that he "drank peoples blood" was because he was a psychopath. he had no feelings and he never felt regret when he killed. his castle had ended up being filed with blood. reason why they called him a vampire. but it was only because that bats they drank blood sooooo in asociation with sooo much blood in count's castle people started calling him a vampire. reason why he was referred to as a vampire. so there you go.

vampires are NOT real! along with Unicorns, flying horses, big foot, fallen angels from trees in the rain forest, these half human/half horse/goat people and little fairies that sprinkle dust on people for good luck. I have watched the Specials about how people "THINK" they are vampires and come to find out they "CHOSE" to drink blood and wear "FAKE" fings. They "CHOSE" to live as a vampire....the real dracula who from Transilvanya was crazy/evil and tortured people but, never was he a vampire.
the vampire craze started when Bram Stoker the novelist wrote the vampire tale Dracula and after it was published people over the centuries couldnt get enough of the fantasy that something evil/dark is lurking in the shadows looking to suck the blood out of beautiful women every where....thanks to Stoker the "vampire" theory hit the ground running and all people did was add additional fanasty info to it to make it more interesting....they suck blood...they only come out at night....they are cold to the touch....they live forever...they are attractive creatures who sleep upside down or in coffins. yeah-yeah-yeah great story i guess that's why almost every single vampire movie makes tons of money when they are released. i love "Interview with the vampire" and "Lost Boys" - made me want to be a vampire when i was a kid because they were soooo cool - whatever lol

HALF HUMAN/HALF HORSE? try centaur! (no those don't exist.) those who are going to take my question seriously, continue! please! you really are helping. those who just plan on clogging my post with crap, get a life, and really, i don't need ppl telling me i'm a nutcase, i get enough of that from tony. i don't need it from you to.
