it is. but u can pretty much just train ur mind to do that. anything is possible. for me i believe in everything until someone can prove it doesn't exist. im open minded... except when im messing with people.

I could never will over my dreams. If you think of it as trying to go against your own mind, it sounds very difficult, and is. You have to overcome your own willpower, which can really be tough.

I've been trying to do it but it never works. Has anyone had one of those dreams when you can't wake up? Those are scary, and I really sometimes wish I could get control of those. I had one a while back and you want to wake up so bad, and yet you can't move.

when that happens you just need to calm down because your mind is whats making you stay asleep.

That doesn't help me. I just sit there not being able to move and I'm like, any moment now... Any minute now I'm going to be able to get up.... Yep..... Just a few more moments.............. lol. One time I could swear I was in that state for a full 2 hours. Psychics and others who believe in the supernatural think it is because your spirit leaves your body sometimes when you sleep, which is why you can't control your dreams, because your mind technically is not in control on the deep mental level. Scientists say it is because you are disturbed in your REM sleep cycle and your body and mind prevent you from waking from REM to save you from losing sleep, a wise decision on the brain's part. Both reasons are somewhat possible and likely. However what you think is totally up to you because I do NOT impose opinions on anyone, as I am neutral in what to believe because there is conclusive evidence on either side.

You're lucky. It's annoying, especially if you are having a nightmare because you are being forced to stay in it... A time before that I was in a nightmare when I was in a fight and I kept getting hit and wanted to wake up but couldn't even though I felt the "pain."

Yeah, it is so scary... Especially if it puts you in danger of physical harm you can actually feel. Especially if you can't wake up from it, because that is the most frightening thing you could probably experience, unless the same thing happened when you were conscious...
