Has anyone ever heard of the new Jersey Devil. It's also known as the Leed Devil. It has the body of the horse same with the head. It has wings like a dragon or large bat and the tail of the devil. It's been spotted multiple times over the pine barrens of New Jersey.

I've heard of it several times, but I'm honestly pretty skeptical about it right now. I saw a show where they chased it... I think the show was "Real Scary Stories" on "Fox Family" (Now it's "ABC Family", but the same channel really).... a group of visitors came to hunt it, and they claimed to see glowing eyes and stuff and there was even weird growling, but it could have just been a wild animal. There were no actual sightings of the devil on that show, or pictures, so it could have even been a hoax just to scare people or make money off the show for all I know.
But if there's some actual solid evidence or clues, I would be more convinced of its existence.

Yeah, I was just wondering the same thing. I believe in it to be honest since i live in Jersey. I'm going camping in the pine barrens soon so I'll look for it. My one friend who never heard of it claimed to see this bat/horse creature flying around but she thought she was dreaming. That kinda made me think that there was some truth to it.

Hmmm, well personal experiences are definitely more believable. I would love to go on a hunt for it though myself, just to try and have an experience. Are you bringing a camera? I suggest you do, so you can try and catch something on photo maybe. But anyway I wish you the best of luck when you go! It'd be exciting to go myself or to get some possible evidence

Definatly. I agree, you can believe in something as much as you want but when you see it, It's completely different. Yeah, I'm going to, there's no way I'm not getting it on camera if I see it.
Thanks, I'll try a get it on film. I hope you get a chance to go one day to.

Awesome I hope you catch something then, that would be great. If not, then better luck next time. Just going there to begin with is cool. You might get a personal experience at least. I myself am stuck with what California has to offer for now, so that means the Winchester Mystery House and some haunted cruise ships and restaurants, if I get lucky. Also there's supposedly some cult in the mountains that conduct seances and deeds with the devil, at least I've heard stories of that from some people, but I haven't looked into that yet. It could be just some punks trying to scare people by dressing up in robes and chanting nonsense. >_> Might look into it once I get more information myself though.

Mostly in the coastal mountain range, and there are also reported to be paranormal activity around Lake Tahoe too. But really, just about every town here has at least one "haunted" building; there's three in my town here that I know of, but probably more.
San Fran is also pretty much a gold mine for haunted places, because so many people died back when that horrible earthquake struck years ago, so that's a good place to check too. Especially by the wharf; there's been reports of people seeing apparitions right in broad daylight, and even spookier at night... except it's also dangerous at night, because a lot of drug dealers hang around there too. >_> Soo... I don't think I want to go there alone... lol...

Wow, that's rather interesting I never really knew that San Fran is the place to go for hauntings. I'm going to be in San Deigo so oh well, I'll probably find something and I'm going up to LA as well. XD can't wait for that but I'll have to do some research and see what I can find.

The description I heard about it, it had a humanoid figure, because a boy was deformed or something and was said to look like a devil or something......but I'm not too sure about it actually.....this is one thing that I've been skeptical on........but to each their own!

i haven't been able 2 find any referance books on the jersey devil, but there is this one book by eric leeds that's good for a horror story. it is called the life of the jersey devill or something along those lines. it was a really good book, but it is also fiction. not much truth in it.
