Ever since I was about 14, I have had the ability to sense when unfortunate things are going to happen. The night before the incidents, I would see these black wisps, as I've come to call them. They're all through my vision and not just "in-the-corner-of-my-eye." It almost feels like someone is with me, but I don't think anyone is. It's just a feeling. Anyway, the nights I saw them, the next day, something bad or catastrophic would happen. Not just to me, but in general. Nothing minor, big events, like the passing of my great grandfather and Hurricane Katrina, for example. I don't think I'm Psychic (at least, I don't want to be). It seems more like a sixth sense. I haven't told anyone except my mother and my fiance. I was just wondering if anyone could tell me what it might be or if anyone else has ever experienced anything like this before? Thanks.

I have always been on the fence about this subject and truly think there are those out there with special skills. Then again, I think that as we go through life we use our senses to make decisions, such as I get a bad feeling about getting in that car or on a plane, etc, etc. Most times we don't look at it as anything more than a gut feeling and never think of it as anything psychic. The incident with your great grandfather might be the fact that you knew certain things about his health before hand and you just logically put together those stimuli and came to a reasonable conclusion. The same thing with Katrin, the input from weather reports might have been enough to logically conclude, this is going to be bad.
I am not trying to make light of your experiences because they are obviously very real and personal to you, but there could be a very real explanation for them. Then again, whether you like it or not, you just might have some very real skills.

unclebuck is rite but there are such things like that. when i was 10 my grandfather became real sick he had sever lung cancer and had tried numerous chemo therapy treatments but it never worked. at the time i really didnt noe wat was going on. one night i went to stay at my cousins house after seeing my grandfather and that night i was in a dead sleep and i woke up out of nowhere and i had a horrible anxiety attack. it felt hard to breath so my aunt called my mom and my mom calmed me down and told me everything was ok. and so on. two hours later i finally got it under control. this happened around midnight. i found out about 4 years later when i was a little older that when i had called my mom my grandfather was just passing. i dont doubt that it was real. everytime someone in my family blood related or not i have a sever anxiety attack. im not one to have those by the way. most people have the sense but they either ignore it or say that its a gut feeling. i dont think your psychic just have a sense of when something wrong is going to happen.

Thank you for your input guys. I'm thinking it might be a good idea to start a journal, to record the incidents, that way I can look back and study what was going on around me and to see if I'm right. It doesn't really bother me that this happens to me. I always try to find the most logical explanation for everything, but the most un-nerving thing is the "wisps". I try to ignore them, but sometimes it feels like they're suffocating me. I'll try to let you know the next time they happen, to see if something unfortunate follows. And Ashley!, it's conforting to know that if I do have a sixth sense, that I'm not alone. xoxo-sam

"Thank you for your input guys. I'm thinking it might be a good idea to start a journal, to record the incidents, that way I can look back and study what was going on around me and to see if I'm right." Surgarysweetgirl, Oct, 25 7:09pm.
Surgaryseetgirl, I think this statement you made is the first step in really trying to understand the things that are happening to you. Like I said, I think there are people out there that just might have some skills in this area, but I also believe outside influences could play a big part.
Your journal idea will no doubt help you find some of the answers. As far as if what you document fits what happens. Then there is the other side of the equation; if you do have certain skills how do you develop them.
As a somewhat skeptic, I would suggest that you continue your journal for some time, maybe a couple months to get a good baseline for your thoughts. Remember, those with these skills are not 100% right every time.
And by the way, I have had my share of experiences that has saved my bacon more than once. But, was it because of my training and observational skills that observes danger signs, or was it truly a sixth sense. I did get a weird feeling and the hairs on my neck would stand up when I got these feelings and acted upon them, and I was right more often than I was wrong.
I really wish you the best in your journey. Let us know how it works out.

I had a dream just recently that.... In the FUTURE, a UFO or some type of UFO looking machine will crash hitting buildings and then drop into the ocean blowing up and make a tsunami that will over take a major city.....I drew a picture of what I saw in the dream. The city reminded me of California, but was along the ocean or lake like Michigan, anyway, someplace along huge water. The land looked something like a city of some place like on some planet not quite like ours..Like the bad lands. A highway with many cars went to the waters edge and it looked like it could have been a 5-10 miles long, going away from where the building was first hit by the UFO thing, before it went into the water. It was like we where on the top of a hill looking down to the water. Two military type looking jets and one helicopter and a odd satellite looking thing was there as it crashed. That dream was so freaking real and rather spooky too!1 week ago!A premonition? I have to check this date .......to see if they correspond! INDONESIAN ASTEROID: Earlier this month, with no warning, a ~10-meter wide asteroid hit Earth's atmosphere above Indonesia and exploded. The break-up was so powerful, it triggered nuclear test ban sensors thousands of kilometers away. A just-released analysis of infrasound data shows that the asteroid detonated with an energy equivalent of about 50 kton of TNT, similar to a small atomic bomb. This significant impact has received relatively little attention in Western press. ........................................... A past dream was the earthquake (Loma Prieta earthquake), that took the bridges down and that one happened three weeks before the actual earthquake!

I have a very minor form of ESP, at least that is what I believe. Sometimes through dreams and sometimes through normal daily life, things seem to pop into my head without notice. They aren't always good or bad, sometimes it is useless information. Point is it happens, and I don't know why. I don't usually perceive bad things and never recall ever doing so, but I know if I trained hard enough, I could probably make predictions more selectively. Another sad thing is I can never think about events that I want to happen because no matter how hard I try they won't. I think it is interesting when it happens and I say "I knew that!" Anyway I know where the basis of ESP occurs and have had experience with it, so see me if you have questions or need to confront something.

i predict things too. My grandfather had been helping a retired priest for a few months, taking him to appointments, grocery shopping and so on. He had the average health issues on any elderly person. He had been in relatively good health. One night the phone rang while I was talking to my mother, and I stopped mid sentence. "Father Kelly died" I told her. A few seconds later my grandfather picked up the phone. After he got off, he gave the news. Father Kelly died. I've had many other predictions, the murder of a stranger a block down from my Grandmother's, My fathers cousin. I get random people.

you can sense the future. or at least you know what well happen in the near future.
i can't tell when bad things are about to happen. but the night before my grandma died i had this horrible feeling in my stomache. and they day i had to put my dog to sleep, before i even thought of putting her to sleep the whole i was really sad. and when my grandpa died i felt sad for no reason.
Also i know people before i meet them. like i was going to meet my brother's friends i knew one of them was going to be a red head, i could sense he was going to be wearing blue and knew he was going to have a country accent and was going to be really out going. know how did i know that? i have no idea! i never even seen a picture of him or met him before all i knew was his name was caleb and thats it, oh and he was my brother's friend.
the other thing i can do is when i think of someone like a friend, they call or text me. like i think hmm i wonder how _blank__ is, i should call him/her later. 1-2 minutes later he/she calls me. or i ask my parents what we are going to do and i would secretly think something like going to eat at a certain resturant and they say lets go eat at (that certain resturant). its pretty weird. but cool. does anyone know what that is?

While I don't completely discount "ESP" as a possibility, I believe that it would be VERY rare. What I do believe is common is standard intuition - people really do have a knack for picking up on visual, verbal and emotional signs from the people we interact with - and it is not paranormal at all. Just thought I should throw that out there.

Any one who's said they said they've senced or seen some thing thats cool. It makes me feel less alone I hate seeing and sencing spirits sometimes, as well as seeing and feeling bad things glad i'm not the only one.
