I would like to visit this cemetary, but do not know if this cemetary (Dartmont?" is locked at night, and if so, when? Has anyone had trouble getting in there?
Any other info on this place would be helpful and appreciated...have done some research on it,then saw the place on TV as a haunted Cemetary....am hoping to visit soon, posting 10/31/09. Thanks, angelsamongus

You can get into the cemetery. The fences that surround it are only about 3 feet tall, but if they police drive you will get a big ticket. Some people get permission from the police to go there after hours but they had some vandalism and they weren't allowing that for a while. Not sure if you can get permission now.

We asked for permission, and the police officer said he would have no problem with it if he was on duty, but he told us that the officer that would be on the night we wanted to go will ticket if he saw us, so it really depends who's no duty that night. Also, the officer we talked to said to park down past the cemetery on King Street and walk into the cemetery, so your less noticeable i guess. |

Due to recent vandalism, this is now locked at night. If you are caught there after dark, you WILL get a hefty fine! This one has actually been researched multiple times and nothing was found!! There is however a tree there with a legend behind it that can be seen during the DAY...the soulcatcher tree....said to contain the souls of Chief Highknocker and others. There are currently 2-3 faces visible in the tree!

Angelsamongus,
The cemetery is called Dartford cemetery and if you go (or went, i realize this post is a year old) i feel you are kind of wasting your time,as publicized as Dartford is the only thing that seems to come out of it is storys that makes for great reading or tv!we have never caught any evidance at Dartford and we have been there many times...both day and with permission at night,if you caught anything i would love to see it or hear it,good luck!

I had gone down there before and I went in the evening and we left when we saw vans driving into the cemetery and we saw something so go right before it closes then you will have a chance of experiencing something and no fine!! peace!! paranormal xtremes  |

when a group i was working with went there we were able to debunk every so called paranormal events that have been reported.. its a cool place and story but after 6 hours there (with police permission) we caught a ton of evidence that was easily explainable... if there are any alleged paranormal activity that you think might take place there i would be happy to describe the explinations we came up for it.. our investigation was very through and proffesional.. we took everything into concideration and studied the evidence to the fullest...
