I work at Sacred Heart Hospital in Eau Claire, WI. There are two nuns that haunt the Physicians Office Building (POB) which used to be the convent where the nuns had their dormitories. Apparently the nuns are looking for their babies. Yes, nuns looking for their babies. Apparently according to a father of my co-worker who used to clean the sewers around this area, the sewers were always clogged with "rubbers" (condoms) that were used by the priests while having sex with the nuns. The rumor is that the nuns were their only to serve the priest's sexual and physical needs. When the nuns would accidentally end up pregnant most would die from the birthing because no one was to find out. The children were always given up. The ghosts/spirits of the nuns are said to be looking for their missing children. All the reports from my co-workers say that the nuns will just float by in white habits (nun's uniform garb). Another co-worker says the nuns are her friends and they follow her around while she cleans the rooms in that building. She says they are very nice and they like to play tricks like locking doors. I haven't had anything happen while in the building other than getting very bad chills and goosebumps instantly and always feel as if i am being watched.

Erpcasie...
That's cool... Never heard of it, but wouldn't surprise me at all.
I work at a medical center too... I have had patients tell me about a nurse coming in the room in the middle of the night to check their machines. Come to find out in the morning, no nurse entered the room all night. When you ask the patients what the nurse looked like they talk about her being in all white, with a white nurses hat. Yes, if you walk the halls here you will find a picture of the woman we believe they are talking about.
The cleaning staff have heard a man crying up on the floors. They would be in the back cleaning rooms and hear someone crying, come to the waiting room and no one was there. Except one time, 1 lady, who retired 3 years ago told the story of coming out from the back, finding a man sitting in a chair crying un controlably.. She approached him and he didn't look up. She pointed to the elevators and said that's where he needed to go to get out of the waiting room. She went back to cleaning and a few minutes later checked the waiting room.... he was gone. Never heard the elevator open, never heard the man again.
The overnight staff have talked about getting cold spells, things moving or disappearing until the next night.

But the only abandoned nursing home is the old Rolling Meadows Nursing Home off of hwy 41, it also on the site of an old insane asylum. Anyway, i know nurses that have worked there and they tell me stra8 out that its haunted, the third floor being the hot spot. I would love to go in that place, but i dont think it will ever happen. update..the nursing home i was talking about is being turned into a hotel, using the same building!
