Here is some video that the team I am on took over a year ago during our investigation of the old brothels above the Lucky Nugget Gambling Hall in Deadwood. There had been claims of activity by the employees of hearing footsteps, being touched, phantom smells, and feelings of uneasiness. We conducted a total of five investigations over a years time and came away with some interesting if not compelling evidence. This video was one that we have been trying to find answers for for over a year. We have gone back to the location and did everything to try and debunk the video. We have not been able to. We are not making any outlandish claims, only presenting the video of what looks to be to us a possible shadow figure. The first segment is the original, with sound. It is a bit dark. I copied this first video and edited it by trying to lighten it and use different color exposures to try and bring out the possible shadow. I also slowed down the motion in an effort to see it better. I am not a whiz when it comes to this so please, bear with me. I want honest and intelligent peer review of this possible evidence. I am willing to put this out there for you all to review. As I said before, I am not making any outlandish claims about this video just putting it out there for intelligent discussion. www.youtube.com/watch?v=WSL0uc4kqjoThank You, Mark

That is a strange one...offhand I can't think of an environmental condition that would explain that. Maybe I'll see what some of our other guys think about it.

Thanks, I would appreciate any feedback I can get on this. I can guarantee you that myself and the team I am on have looked at this every way we can. I have this video posted on another paranormal site and one thought from another investigator was that they have heard certain video cameras have been notorious for imprinting artifacts that are not there onto disc or tape? Can anyone here tell me if they have ever had an experience with this happening to them.

We had a digital still camera that does things like that sometimes - it has something to do with a defective spot in the memory, when you look at the picture on the camera LCD there is nothing special there, but if you load it onto the computer there is an imprinted shadow image that appears to be from a pic taken at an earlier time... I only had it explained to me 'techspeak light', so I really don't have a great grasp on how it was happening, or if it could happen on video as well.

After speaking more to this other investigator I think I understand now what they are referencing. You know when you see very grainy video that seems to have, for a lack of a better description "pixel blobs" that seem to be moving about. Anyway, that is what I do see on this footage where I lightened the clip, but it does not explain the shadow that appears. If the shadow we captured was in fact what I described earlier as a "pixel blob", then I would be inclined to throw out this evidence. However, this shadow appears in the doorway and is stationary and does not move or appear like the pixels in the clip. Therefore, we are still left with an unknown.
