I went to Hell's Playground with a couple of friends back in March of last year. We went deep into the woods and couldn't find any trace of a playground. The place is really creepy though. The entire time we were there, it seemed like we were being followed. Does anybody know the validity of the playground?

I was super curious about it and did some research. From what I dug up in an afternoon of internet searches there is no playground or ruins from a playground. I guess someone did get shot out there by a hunter one time. Ironically it happened on my birthday, December 3. I don't recall which year it happened. I made the judgement call that it doesn't exist because I couldn't find anything legitimate that anyone had actually seen it. Also there were posts from people on strange usa that stated they were hunters and knew the whole area back there, they said there was no playground. I don't understand how legends come to be about locations that don't actually exist. I am so captivated by it and I always want to find them. Oh well, at least Ringling road and the stool in the shack came true. That was so cool. Maybe you should check out Ringling Road.

yeah I read that guy's post on strange usa. It's funny how upset he is. When we went and didn't locate a playground we still had a great time. I find Hell's Playground creepier than haunted roads. It's really a great experience venturing into a heavily wooded area with vague paths. I recommend it

HEY - I remember talking about this a year ago on here....
"thetruth" sent me a pm last April (so almost exactly a full year) asking me if I'd been to Hell's Playground yet, and at that point - I still hadn't been there. But I did end up going there last July with some friends!
We also found no sign of any "Playground equipment" (like swings, a slide, etc) but to be fair - I don't think we walked for a couple miles through the paths....when we went, the mosquitos were horrible - we had even brought "deep woods off" (insect repellant) but it didn't do much good.
I also agree with "thetruth" that it's a great area to explore! There is sort of a "creepy vibe" to the whole place - and it really is HEAVILY wooded! You begin to feel like you're in this sort of vast wilderness....I also recommend this place to anybody, but I'd suggest going in early Spring before the bugs get too bad!
