I really like the stories and sightings of the Jersey Devil and I recommend the book Phantom of the Pines written by James F. McCloy and Ray Miller, Jr. The book does a great job on providing the history of the creature and some more recent sightings. This is one creature that I have not yet had the opportunity to go and pursue, yet I believe that it may be a worthwhile trip.

Weird N.J. has a magazine that is published twice yearly. It is worth checking out their site. Weird N.J. Mark and Mark are responsible for the Weird U.S. and Weird Wisconsin books. Their magazine started as a local small-type publication passed out to friends over a decade ago, and has grown into one of the best paranomal magazines I have ever read. You can purchase back-issues from #4 all the way to the current ones. There are over 25 different ones, you can buy individually or as a set. Personally, I have never had a problem with prompt service and usually recieve orders within two weeks. They publish not only thier investigations in the magazine, but personal experiences from thier readers. I can't stress enough about how awesome this magazine is. I have read my copies(and I own all the available ones) over and over, never tiring of the content...there is that much information. So if a person was interested in ALOT of info from the Garden State, no other state has this type of publication, check out their site. Weird N.J. in your search engine.
