Yesterday morning I overslept by a few minutes and missed my ride to work. It being in downtown Eau Claire, and myself being near downtown Altoona, it was a little bit of a walk.
During the trip I focused on the place I was headed, and also of my boss, who was going to by my ride to work in the morning. I would focus on one and quickly switch to the other. Then then I would start switching between them until the thoughts overlapped, and it seemed like they were almost one. When I did this it felt like there was a pull on my body. It was like the world kind of lost itself for a few seconds. I felt almost like I was floating there. While this happened, my feet stopped hurting, and I would start walking faster.
When I first started walking, I estimated that it would take me about two hours and a few minutes extra. Instead I made it there in an hour and twenty minutes. The length of the walk was about four and a half miles, but that could be off. I'm not exactly in the greatest shape, so it didn't seem like it would be possible to get that far as quickly as I did, considering my walking time used to be a mile every twenty minutes.
I doubt it's really anything, but then again, who knows.
