Wolf 'Snarl' Snider, station manager at WOLF 108 FM, has announced that he has been hired elsewhere, and all air shifts and specialty shows will be terminated as of Friday, September 10th, 2004.
There will be no show during Labor Day Weekend, so what this means is that Monday, August 30th was our final show.

During the nine months and almost 60 episodes that we were on, we gained a substantial following of faithful listeners. Each week we discussed fascinating topics and interviewed both locally and internationally known guests, including psychic Peter James and ufologist Stanton T. Friedman. We also kept you updated with the latest paranormal news, both international and local, such as our investigations of the Mondovi UFO, Cumberland Bigfoot sightings, crop circles in Tilden and Wausau, and numerous hauntings. In addition, Richard Hendricks of Weird Wisconsin kept us entertained and informed with his monthly segments. Also, you the listeners made an important contribution to the show with your phone calls. If you enjoyed listening to "The Unexplained," either live or through the archived list, and would like to see the Midwest's only paranormal radio talk show continue, here's what you can do. Contact the local radio stations and ask them to pick us up. You can email, write, fax, or call them: WHYS 96.3 FMP.O. Hi,I was looking on the net for other radio shows and found the Bufo radio talk show web sight + other radio web sites. They do talk shows from Birlington aera WI? Personally, I think we should get you guys on the Oprah show and talk alittle about your paranormal study and some of the things you found ect....We could support that by writing to her to have you as guests and get some great world wide attention.why not survey that thought and see what happens...Opra had a article deal looking for ideas for her show and such a while ago.I saw it o her web site.Just a thought!

I would suggest (and did) that they broadcast online. The guest the show are an interest to everyone, not just people in Wisconsin. Broadcasting on radio you only reach locals, online you get the whole world. I'll email a radio station as you requested but if all else fails please consider it.
Jennifer Lauer of the Southern Wis. Paranormal Research group brought The Unexplained show to my attention recently and I hate to see it go already. I really enjoyed listening to the archives while I worked.

Hi I don't want to be a bother? but why not start a "list " we can sign it on your site and then later you can show it to prospective radio broad castors ect... It can say something like this....here is a list of our radio and internet true followers who would like to see us back on the airwaves doing "The unexplained show."Something to that respect....I surely would sign it....if it is a privacy issue ....send your email he sent, signed agreeing you want them back on the air!? make T-Shirts or stickers...Come on folks! lets see what kind of ideas are out here. I will sound like Charlie Daniels...What do you think?By the way Mr.Daniels has great write ups on his site also! Yes!Support Our Troops! P.S.S. I just wrote the Oprah Show, asking to put both Chad and Terry on as guests to have a Paronormal Show and maybe get veiwers calling in thier UFO sitings and such...Wouldn't that be cool?

Of course no one is happy to see the show go. But someone will pick it up again. I'm not worried about these guys. They're fantastic at what they do and that's obvious. And to Lurker..if they get their show syndicated it can be nation wide. I dont have access to the internet in my car etc. so having the show only on the internet wouldn't do me (and most others) much good when not at home or work. Of course having the archives online is great so I can catch up with the ones I missed! As for these guys being on Oprah...I'm not sure this is Oprahs thing. She's more 'girl power' than 'lets go hang out in a graveyard'. Not that it's a bad idea cuz ya never know unless you try right? Just my thoughts. GOOD LUCK GUYS!

Thanks to everybody who has contacted the local radio stations and asked them to carry "The Unexplained." Chances are we will be able to continue "The Unexplained" on WHYS 96.3 FM once that station becomes operational. However, WHYS, like WOLF, will be an LPFM or Low Power FM station, which means it will only be heard within the Eau Claire city limits. Most of our audience for "The Unexplained" have been people from around the state who listened to the archived episodes. Many of them have told us that they would like to be able to listen to us live and to be able to call us while we're on the air. That could happen if Wisconsin Public Radio decided to pick us up and syndicate us around the state. If this is what people would like, then I would encourage you to keep writing to Dean Kallenbach at WPS kallenbach@wpr.org to let him know that you, the people, want to be able to hear "The Unexplained" from anywhere in the state over Wisconsin Public Radio.

I've been a way for a while and decided to check my university e-mail...wow, I was totally shocked to know that "the Unexplained," along with other shows were all cancelled. I don't think I would have stayed so loyal to Wolf 108 without Both Chad Lewis and Terry Fisk talking about the paranormal. However, Snarl, did restrict certain topics on the air, like stories of Lycanthropes and shape-shifters. I will never forgive him for the restriction, so when "the Unexplained" comes back to a radio station that will be the first topic I would like to ask about. Otherwise, if I never hear the show again, I may go to my grave with burning questions I would always like to have asked. Chad, Terry, and all the loyal listeners, I support you all 100% and want the "the Unexplained" back on the air...

Does this have any effect on The Unexplained conference in October?

Lurker, The Unexplained conferences will still be held. The radio show was never a part of the conferences so to get all the news of the Unexplained you will not want to miss the upcoming conferences!

Saturday, September 25th, was a sad day. WOLF 108 had their final broadcast and went off the air. We appreciate the fact that Snarl believed in us and gave us the opportunity that he did. We wish him the best in his new endeavors. Currently there are new LP radio stations in the works for Eau Claire: - WHYS 96.3 FM
- WRFP 101.9 FM
- WIEC 102.7 FM
Hopefully the Eau Claire community will be supportive of them, and "The Unexplained" will be back on the air soon.

Hey, my name is Sam and I was the host of the metal show on Wolf108. It's sad to see the station go. It was doing so much for local bands, other music that doesn't get radio play otherwise, and, of course, it was host to your show.
I have to admit, after I took over the metal show, you guys were the only reason I listened to the station at all!
I truly hope you guys can continue on another station. I will definatly be listening!
