A lot has happened in Caryville...paranormally speaking. I have heard a lot of rumours of suicides and murders and such...but I have never gotten any confirmation on any of them. I personally have expierienced quite a few events in that area. Has anyone else expierienced anything...I would like to compare stories.

wellll i think theres a few stories. the ones i've heard are: at the school house, a boy stayed through the winter because he didn't want to go home to his abusive father and he froze to death in his desk. and he haunts the place and hte swings and what not.also, in the school house someone supposedlly hung themselves in the church tower. and you can supposedly see the noose. and. in the graveyard theres supposed to be a demon dog or something? i'm not sure about that. and when you go over this one bridge and turn your lights off you're suppposed to see headlights on the water beecause some car drove off the bridge once.
but personally, i've been there a few times and i didn't find it that scary. the graveyard wasnt scary at all. except the road to get up there. its one way on a hill and its dirt. and there was all these big trucks up there. not good ha. the school house was a little scarier though. we never saw anything inside. but when we were leaving. the swings started swinging by themselves. talk about creeeeeepy. theres also an abandoned house somewhere out there. we went in it once. it had a barn and things. the barn had meat hooks nad it was rull scary. but the house wasn't anything really. except one of my friends was taking pictures and she thinks she got pictures of orbs. i dont know if i beleive they are orbs. probably just dust. maybe i'm a skeptic ha. but they've gotten tougher on the trespassing though so i havent been there in a really long time. and i dont see why i'd need to go back. hah. well now that i've bored you alll with this.

acutally the demon dog is not a dog even though it says a boxer it is really a poulterguiste (evil spirt) and the hell hounds are across the river on meridean island and boat landing but the other is correct ( sorry for the spelling errors not my strongest sub. in school)

Just went here on Sunday - I think we came in the wrong way - we were using GPS rather than the directions given ...maybe not a great plan in this case. We found the church and school without any trouble. We didn't go into or really investigate the buildings - the one and only vehicle we saw while driving around these roads passed us as we were parked between the buildings. We decided to give the search for the cemetery another go...ended up driving through some little tire tracked barely there trail though someone's field I think - oops. Eventually we go on the right track and found ourselves at the boat landing. I had very uneasy 'leave now' kind of feeling. I don't typically get this overwhelming kind of run away feeling so that is where we turned around - didn't even attempt any pictures, I just didn't want to be there - at all. I don't have any evidence here, but I definitely got the feeling that there was something less than welcoming in this area the closer we got to the boat landing . I understand the cemetery is beyond the boat landing?

I live in the area, I have had a few experiences myself. I like to lean towards the logic although I do witness the paranormal frequently. I started up a website on myspace of Wisconsin Haunted Locations. The first thing I posted about was the Caryville area and it's reputation. You can log onto myspace and check it out. It's worth the curiosity of the area. www.myspace.com/weirdwisconsin As for the paranormal is in the area, alot of things do reside there, but it's probably more imagination and fun putting together of something that more than likely don't exist. Go read my page, you'll be surprised.

I went to Caryville. It has a really weird way to get back to the cemetery. There was weird footsteps in the cemetery. Didn't look like anything I would reconize.
