Hey all, Let us know if you have had experiences in SD. Whether you were in Deadwood, the Badlands, or even the Crazy Horse Monument. We are putting together a list of stories for the book and would love to hear yours. -Chad

Chad, I will try to email you on this later.
Someone from our group (who you even met in August) was at one of those places listed above if I remember correctly.
BTW --Merry Christmas! and a Happy New Year!

All I know is the first time I ever was in South Dakota was my first trip to the state. We left Eau Claire at 1pm, and made it to Sioux Falls, SD by 4pm. No comment...

i live in mitchell, sd and was drawn here by a newspaper article on your book and visit to the masonic hall...my grandparents lived in the building when i was a small child...grandpa was the caretaker...not sure that i ever heard any stories but i was intrigued by yours...after my parents property was sold here in town they found a headstone buried in the yard...i was aware of this stone when i was a kid but it had disappeared...anyway the guy that bought the property was digging and it turned up...my mother always thought that her brother was the one that had carved on it and assumed it was a temporary stone for his stillborn son, IT WASN'T...it said "baby heintz 1919" on it...my mother was born in 1926, which tells me that she had to have a sybling that passed away...noone ever mentioned it???

My mom and dad had pictures of the man who was building the Crazy Horse Monument. My dad personally knew the man who was doing it.They could speak in their natural language. My dad knew him from years way back.It is really cool to know someone who was building such a beautiful monument with such history.

when i went to the Washington pavilion in Sioux Falls i was volunteering and i heard footsteps by the elevator.i also kept feeling like i was being watched.there was a lady who left the elevator told me to tell the person in charge that the projection of a man in the elevator was great. i was kind of shock at that because there was no projector in the elevator. later that night i was helping a man with a stroller into the elevator when i had a felling the i was being watched so i look up and saw a man in the elevator. i didn't think much of the man so i looked away at the man i was helping. he thanked me then i looked to where the other man was he was gone.he chould not have left the elevator because i was standing in the doorway the entire time.
