By demand, I've got my pics from my visit to Summerwind Mansion ready for viewing. You can read the story of my visit on this thread:

So here's my pics....
The front of my car, peeking out through the grove of trees. I wanted to show how the mansion is hidden, then emerges like a pop-up book.
My first look at the ruins of Summerwind Mansion.
Looking into the cellar, toward the terrace.
The north-side chimney.
The south-side chimney.
Looking up the stairs.
Looking down the stairs.
The terrace, looking (north) from the top of the stairs.
Looking out at West Bay Lake, from the middle of the terrace.
The terrace, looking (south) back toward the stairs.
Looking into the cellar, from the northeast corner (by the servant's quarters).
The arches of the terrace, facing north. (I absolutely LOVED this old fieldstone!)
The arches facing south.
Underneath the terrace, facing north (friggin' vandals).
And facing south under the terrace (still cursing the vandals).
Facing out the arches....the flowers were VERY pretty!
From the same spot as the previous pic, but now facing the foundation (toward the driveway). By the by....notice the mist/vapor toward the top of those trees? I didn't see that when I took the picture.....
Looking up the south chimney, you can still see a piece of broken and charred wood lying up in there. And again, there's that mist/vapor up there.....I didn't see it until the film was developed....
Again, looking at the foundation within the cellar, a bit closer this time.
Looking up at the chimneys....and I went back as far as I could go without going over the 3-foot dropoff ledge.
That's what it looks like from atop the dropoff, toward the lake.
Looking down into the cellar, from the terrace.
The foundation.
I did not use any touchup or anything on this, for obvious reasons. I was trying to get a shot of the servant's quarters, which I got. When the film was developed, I saw the orb on the picture. So I went back to the developer, and asked if that was a water spot or some kind of blemish on the film. They told me that whatever it was, was there when I took the picture. I didn't see anything when I took it, except for the foundation.
It's also interesting to note that right after I took this picture, I began to smell orange peel (again) and started getting that bad headache. So you have to wonder......
This was between the servant's quarters and the driveway. I'm wondering if it's a water heater or something?
....and my final look at Summerwind.
So there you are! How'd I do?
