So my friend and I, maybe a few others, are looking for some haunted places near or in West Allis/Milwaukee. Ever since fourth grade we've been interested in the paranormal, so if anybody has any info, email me at blufirefly6577@yahoo.com I'd love to hear about any experiences or any good places to check out near where I live. Thanks,
Missi

for more info on Wisconsin haunts check out: shadowlands Haunted places - Wisconsin: theshadowlands.net/places/wisconsin.htmI agree with Ghostbuster13 watch out for trespassing as the cops are more frequent to the popular places that are supposely haunted. ever since several books came out they seem to patrol these areas more often and the neighbors have no problem calling the cops on you. I would probably stay away from the real popular ones or at least get permission from the properties 1st. Cemeteries are also cool to investigate but, ever since there has been alot of damage to them all over Milwaukee and wisconsin areas the cops have been patrolling them too. all it takes is for one person to damage or kick over something in a cemetery and they ruin it for others.

and thats another reason some haunted places have construction nearby to deter poeple from going there when in fact there is no road work, they try to get you lost , and from going there. We have had this problem when finding witch road for the very first time . If anyone plans on going to a popular place a good idea is to buy a wisconsin gazeteer, it has all the country roads , its the best 25 bucks i've spent in years.

or you can go to the West Allis Historical Society. Holly and I went and it was very interesting. The people that work there know a lot about West Allis

Lacey and I had a blast at the West Allis Historical society. we learned alot of about West Allis and I was amazed with the history. Each suburb has a historical society and I really want to go to the downtown Milwaukee one as im sure that one is really interesting.
it's safer and you are less unlikily to run into trouble with the cops if you to a cemetery during the day. they are open to the public and for all they know you're in there looking for a deceased relative's grave. of course, going during the day also allows you to get to know the place and it's easier to know your surrounding better.

I have a 5 year old boy , don't want him getting scared at night as well, so thats another reason we go to places during the day. plus i'm afraid if i get lost at night that will scare him even more, besides getting lost sucks royally!!!!

well nowadays you dont know which cemetery has sensors, cameras or security. We went to the Forest Home Cemetery where alot of famous Milwaukee people are buried : Charles Pfeister {his whole family}, Burmder family [owners of the B&B}, and Vogels.
We thought about coming back at night but, two factors came into play : 1) that place is HUGE and a member of our team would get lost without question! 2) while driving to another section of the cemetery we came across clearly marked sign saying "security cameras and voice sensors in place". So yeah there was nooooooooooo way we could brought our team back at night without getting caught. plus they lock that place up at night. no surprise with some of Milwaukee's famous folks buried in there.
It's a MUST SEE though in the day.....it's thee cools cemetery i have ever been in. Just know, it will take almost a whole day to get thru it, you almost have to have a map to get thru it and also to get out of it !!!! lol....that's a place where you can get lost in even during the day.

Wow, pretty cool. I've been to the West Allis Historical society once with my friend, but we really just looked around the place. Now that I know it would be good to talk to the people there, I think I will. =]
