OH - absolutely no need to apologize at all!!!
I'm not a novice on the internet!
But you also should realize that I'd have to know details about anybody that I would give my "personal and professional information" to....the two are linked, I mean my "personal" and "professional" information. You asked for me to confirm my position at the University of Wisconsin. There's an awful lot about me online...I also enjoy posting on message boards for fun, and the two have to remain separate. If you have any sort of career, you should understand this as well as I do.

OK so being the new guy here I'm just going to throw my 2 cents in about Ouija boards, while trying to keep anything touchy out of it.... Ive used them quite a few times (both store bought and the homemade kind) with no ill effects I'm still alive and about as normal as i can be. However I know personally too many people that are seriously screwed up because of they're use of a ouija board. In my opinion the boards themselves are harmless they're made in a factory (most of them) right next to candy land, life, and monopoly. IMO what makes them so dangerous is that they are a very efficient way to connect with the other side and also availible at a million stores and seem to be a very popular game for sleepovers. Its sorta like giving a jetski to somebody that can't even swim its just asking for trouble. Also its a really generic way to contact spirits, theres no telling if what your talking to is aunt bea or the big man himself. There is no switch saying nice spirits only, when you use one you never know what you might get a hold of. Me Ive been lucky I have used them and have never had a problem, and I feel my beliefs/religious views were a factor in that. But after seeing so many people I personally know get hurt (scratches, bruises, burns)or mentally f#$ked (one of my friends ended up in suicide watch for a month, she's still not right) Ive given up on them and feel that no normal joe, even ones with decent experience have the ability to control the possibilities, or the knowledge to deal with them.

what the hell is so wrong with ouija boards? me and my cousin used to play with it all the time at my other house when we were actually nice to each other. but we learn alot of awesome things like one time we were in the back yard using a ouija board and we had the radio with us when we were listening to the radio and using the ouija board we ask the person we were talking to if we could turn the radio louder and they said no and we still turned the radio louder even though they said no. after we turned it louder after a few seconds the radio went all staticy so we just turned it off then we asked the person if they liked what we were listening but they said no. another time we were at halfway which is in cadott, but anyway we were using the ouija board and me, Cindy (my friend), Amanda (another one of my cousin) and Ashley (my cousin that owned the ouija board) were using it. when me and my friend had our hands on the board and my cousin that owned wanted to take a pic so she did and the next day i went to her house and she showed me the pic and me and cindy were all blurry in the pic but we weren't moving when ashley took it and amanda was in the pic also but she wasn't blurry thats when we noticed that me and cindy had our hands on the ouija board and amanda did. thats just two things that happend there are more but i dont remember all of them

I have a friend whose friend decided to go to a certain cemetery and use a quija board to have some fun and on they way back they lost control and the driver was killed and the rest serious condition. And to this day no one from that group talks about that. So its ur decision on what u do.

DarkOne, I side with you... It's not worth it, to take a chance... they can be horrible things and they can be harmless..definately not worth the gamble...

Well, Raven... it appears that we are not 15 or so. Notice many of us have been around longer. We probably know of others first hand that had bad experiences (and not just someone from a website or TV show). Or perhaps we even once had been near a board and had an experience or two, years ago?
For much of it, you might learn over time, too. Maybe you would even learn the hard way?
And if you do, don't forget to note us here and let us know... okay?
