A few years back, when I was still in high school, an old acquaintance of mine mentioned that him and some friend's of his were going out to a supposedly haunted road/ghost town maybe an hour north of Lake Winnebago. He mentioned that the road leading to the town got narrower and narrower as you got closer to the abandoned town. Apparently there is a train track just before the town where, if you park your car on, you'll here a train coming towards you - but there won’t be a train. And supposedly weird things happen within the town limits...
I guess that my friend's vehicle had problem as well not far from their destination...
Has anyone by chance heard of this place? Or know any other information regarding. I'd like to know, if it even does exist, where it might be located and some stories from the place.

I have lived in this state a lifetime, it definately sounds interesting!
Curious to where it is, though... I am north and east of Lake Winnebago for most of it.

Seems as though many of the Wisconsin ghost towns have new towns or groups of houses built over them. Has anyone ever been to any actual ghost town here in Wisco?
