Does anyone know if the Mirro Cookware Foundry in Manitowoc, Wisconsin is haunted at all or any alleged activity? My dad lives 2 blockes from the massive 7 story, 4 city block now abandoned factory. It would be heaven to any urban explorer! It was built in 1929 ( some older parts were built late 1800's ) and shut down in 2003 when the Mirro company moved to Mexico for cheaper worker's. I am an urban explorer and have gotten permission to go inside and might be going inside in a couple of weeks Here is a pic. Of the massive factory www.edcmc.org/img/sidebar/1512WashingtonSt.jpg

Nah, I don't think I will need any help. Thanx for the offer though. The place is huge, 6.1 acer's of land in the middle of downtown. It is rumored to have tunnel's running all through downtown. Anyways, I will take many pictures and I will post them on here

8-)Hello there/ It's Carol once again. I'm originally from Manitowoc living in Milwaukee, and I never heard of the Mirro place being haunted. My mom worked there in the 60's and early 70's and nothing was ever mentioned. Then again, who knows. When in high school, we walked home from basketball games and always pass it. No feelings about the place although it can be a bit creepy at night. A LARGE building that I heard the city wants to renovate into apartments. Good luck with the hunt and looking forward to seeing your pix!

For that reason alone, it would be fun.

The building is in rough shape. I was in there many of times, as for the type of service/work I did, when the company was active... The last time I was in there, the building was cleared out, and it was on the realestate block. No reputation of haunting, from the locals, but... the vandals have destroyed parts of this building over time.
