That's all... I just wanted to say that I think that are legends are really awsome (compared to some from other states) and that many of our most famous haunted locations are beautiful and alive with energy. Thoughts?

I completely agree. How many other states can say they have ghosts, ghost chickens, gnomes, a werewolf, a big foot, vampires, crop circles, UFOs, and a shadow demon.

Yes , Wisconsin is a good state for the supernatural, especially in all this gloomy weather we have been having lately,

It draws a different energy.

Sometimes the legends are the best way to keep history alive. I can honestly say that i'm proud to live here in Wisconsin and i feel that the legends are an important part of our culture here.

I wasn't sure how to start a new post. But speaking of Wisconsin legends. There is a house in Kaukauna. Not the one that was talked about in earlier posts. The locals seem to know about it. My brother's friend and wife lived in it for a few years. Very creepy. I actually wrote a short story about it. Something I do from time to time. Anyway, it's supposed to have a ghost in the basement. The thing is attracted to any children living in the house. I've heard it's because one of the previous owners, a young couple, lost their baby. The distraught woman killed herself in the basement and now she tries luring the children down there by "setting" their favorite toys at the bottom of the stairway. They tried several things to rid themselves of the ghost but to no avail. It's still there. The house has been for sale numerous times. You can imagine why.

Oh yeh. There is the legend of the Ha Ha Man. Anyone who lived in Kaukauna in the early 60's knows about him.
