We just received an e-mail from a gentleman putting together a book on the locations of strange encounters and he is looking for witnesses of UFOs, crop circles, and strange creatures to show him the land so he can photograph the area. If you are interested please let us know.

I almost hit Bigfoot with my car outside of Danbury, WI a few years back. I was coming back from the casino in Danbury with a friend and his wife and we saw an ape like creature crossing the road and leap into the woods. I stopped at a gas station down the road and told them what had happened. The cashier looked at me as if I was insane. Also, everyone where I worked would not believe me so I stopped talking about it. My dad showed me a newspaper a few months later that said there was a guy around Danbury who had seen Bigfoot years ago and had been searching for him ever since. My friend and his wife refuse to talk about what we saw and no one else believes me.

Wow... that would have freaked me out. And then for your friends not talking about it?
Last June, my son and a friend of ours were driving home from the Unexplained Research conference (that was held in Green Bay) and we decided to detour, go to Hotel Hell and stand in the ditch and flash our flashlights (and wait for a ghost to flash theirs back at us). We turned off of I-43, onto the highway of HHell, and something ran across the road!
We were all fully awake, and I have no idea what it was. I am even a little too familiar with road kill, I will insist that it was not a cat or dog or racoon, skunk, squirrel or anything common. My son and my friend as well claim it was a werewolf. I shrugged it off... thinking that was all part of the confr. discussion a few hours before that. I wonder if it was a small dark colored horse or something? No clue, almost a year later, but then strangely, the next day a Harley Davidson owner hit my car (he was at fault and unfamiliar with the streets in our city, swerved and BAMMM!).
I guess the more I think of that evening... and I do admit to hitting the brakes hard, but for how the leg formation was, on this animal or thing... I almost think there was no way it was a horse either, just due to it's build, and how the legs were. And now I will never know what it was...

That reminds me of back in the later 1970's, Early 1980's when we lived in the Plainfield - Almond area and a lady said she almost hit a were-wolf looking animal in back of Almond in the deeper part of the woods. The story went around and then a lot of people claimed they saw the same thing ...I believe there was a story either on the news or in the Almond paper about it also.My folks owned a store and we always heard the latest news from all directions.Someone also went after it with a rifle when they saw a dark shadowy thing run through the woods while hunting and said they nicked it with a bullet, but it got away.I drove those woods many times and even now you can get some weird feelings at night,if you drive that road.I also had a police Friend, I went out with and he lived around that area. That was a long time ago though. The road also had a strange name by the way.

Wow!
Einstein, when did you live in Plainfield? I will try to PM you when I get on here next... wondering if you knew the people I knew, that I stayed with, when I was a kid.
Right now, I am not making much sense, as for being so tired I am seeing double...

The most recent bigfoot story I've heard happened last year when a man was driving around the Holy Hill area in Southeastern Wisconsin picking up dead deer carcasses (since it was his job). He happened to look in his rear-view mirror to see "a large animal" lift one of the carcasses out of the back of the truck! Naturally he sped off not bothering to look back. This started up the whole "Bearwolf of Holy Hill" story again.

For one or two people, to try to hunt Bigfoot, is a waste of time. You're only hope is to attempt to find fresh tracks by driving through areas where Bigfoot has been sighted recently, after a fresh snow. Now...you got a trail to follow.

oh wow, if i were any of you guys, i wouldnt ever go back to those places. i mean, maybe bigfoot is friendly or maybe not. people vanish all the time, makes you kinda wonder. i'm sure its not only bigfoot to blame. just knowing as to how easily overpowering it is... scares the hell out of me.
