Astrological forecast for Oct. 13 – Oct. 19
With the moon moving into Gemini we may be feeling a little more alert this Monday. Feelings may be turning towards a more intellectual side as well as a bit more versatile. Tuesday we have Mercury squaring Chiron as well as Saturn and we could be feeling some pressure in what we can’t seem to say. It will be hard to express hurt and we will feel like we’re holding back and unable to relate. The Moon shifts to Cancer Thursday and we may be feeling all too protective of ourselves and our feelings. This is a good time to look at why. Re-evaluate dreams and visions today and try to keep in mind all the benefits life has to offer. There are opportunities for advancement of communication abilities this Friday. We may be a little more observant of emotional growth and the need for it. It may seem hard to let go emotionally at this time. Any spontaneity or inspiration may be hard to reach at this time. Saturday, the Moon shifts to Leo and we might want some whole hearted emotion today. Recognition and admiration will go far with people we care for today. There’s opportunity to find some harmony in divine matters this weekend. Stop to look at how things relate to each other, sometimes we just need to step back and look at the whole picture instead of the details.

I have a general question. What effect does a full moon have on a person?

Firstly, thanks for the question, when considering the effects of the full moon on a persons psych or behavior, we would really begin by looking at what sign the moon is in and what aspects to other planets the moon is making. Although, a fool moon, not considering any other influences can make a person feel illuminated, gives feelings of fulfillment, completion. There could be feelings of unrest and extreme emotional expression as well. I have found this to be a good time for all forms of expression. The other phases of the moon have effects as well, maybe not at noted because of a long time fascination with the full moon. The second quarter moon or the waxing moon is an ideal time for new beginnings or the articulation of things which already exist. The fourth quarter moon or the waning moon is a great time for study, meditation, relaxing, banishing negativity and addictions. This is a time for disintegration. Drawing back for reorganization and reflection. The new moon or first quarter makes for a good time for rest, beginning new things and outwardly directing energy. There is also called a moon void of course, a time when the final aspect is made and sign change happens. This happens generally every couple days because the moon moves quickly through the signs. This is a time when one may feel fuzzy, vague, scattered, it’s not a good time to initiates plans but a good time for relaxation.
