Carol -- Some of these places do not allow people in. You have to park in the ditch or on the street.
Evergreen Hotel is a fine place, but now... basically off limits. Sometimes Evergreen does have open house, though...
And now I will wonder, why is this thread here, and not under Wisconsin Ghosts? It would be easier to find months later there...

To Lady of the Lake....Carol here. I don't know why this thread isn't in WI ghosts...maybe easier to find for some plus there are a number of responses. As for the Evergreen Hotel, calling the place and talking to the right people may just get you into the place for an investigation. I know it's an apartment building now..one could say they were looking for an apt. and see if there's anything in the areas that are haunted. You could also ask tenants if they've had any experiences. As for Hotel/Motel Hell in Maribel, I thought it was one and the same place. I know about the no trespassing signs, etc. I also have done extensive research thru the Manitowoc police, historical society, city treasurer's/accessors office and found out who owns it. Was on the phone with him today and mentioned my "mini vacation" in early October. I'm to contact him and he even mentioned driving over there with me to look around. The place would cost well over 1 million dollars to renovate and it takes time. I am VERY resourceful and never take no for an answer. Going to college for Journalism gets me into places others can't or wouldn't even think of. Also been in contact with a guy at the visitors bureau in Manitowoc who has been very helpful. Now, if only I had a car to get around. I never give up. So people out thee, never give up either. Just be smart as persistence and knowledge does pay off.
Also, I've been doing a lot or checking and research on the Peter Cooper Glue Factory in Oak Creek, WI and now know who owns the place. He wants to turn that into a housing development with condos, apts.,...even a city within a city. Even got a $100,000 grant to do a study. Everything is still in the talk stage and there would be an extensive land clean up first. He may say no to an investigative team especially to avoid any more publicity, but you never know.
