I love to go camping, and will be going camping this weekend. I am wondering if anyone knows of any haunted campgrounds in Wisconsin? I'm not going just in the hopes to catch any paranormal activity. I am a beginning sensitive and just want to hone my skills better for myself. I thought it would be a plus since I love camping, to also camp at supposidly haunted locations. If anyone has any info, please let me know. You can email me at melzy@wi.rr.com Thanks

Hi Missmelwi, You can stay at the Rib Lake Campground in Rib Lake WI (Northeast part of the state). Here you will stay right next to a graveyard where the ghost of a young boy has been seen wandering the cemetery.
Good Luck, Chad Lewis

In addition, the ghost of the young boy has been spotted roaming through the campground as well. Those staying at the campground also report hearing the sounds of kids playing late at night when no children can be found.

I know of 2 camp spots that you may want to check out....1st South Wood County Park, I have gone on detecting trips there and found a person once owned a huge old estate, you may bump into something in the night there. Also Pittsville,WI has a huge camp ground and there has been some some questionable situations there, as reported in the news papers within the last year or so.I am bound to regulations through a association I volunteer for, So thats my last word on that.Good luck and be careful!

high cliff state park is a great place for a weekend camping trip...but watch out for the raccoons, cover your cooler. The indian burial grounds and the lime kilns in the park have activity. also the state park outside of sturgeon bay is suppose to have a cemetery that is haunted. I do not know any stories about that one, but I have heard about it.

alot of campgrounds around where Indian reservations will show alot of imprints. I'm also a sensative. Lived in a haunted house when I was younger and now live near an old indian ground and we believe our house is on an Indian grave site. Ever since we brought the horses to this area, we have had stronger imprints, of a lady just walking right through the back of the house or a man walking through the middle of the house. So if you find any camp grounds near where Indians used to be, you will most likely feel different energies and possibly see some imprints. (ottowa lake is the camp ground I live closest too that has a high potential to have imprints. I'm planning on going out there soon with a few sensative friends...)
