I have emailed Jeremiah... & I also know the owner of the JFK Prep (Jerry Slavik) somewhat, but I think it would be an awesome idea to get a organised "Ghost Walk" out on the property.
I know people who have been there, and a number of people who would be interested. Is there other interested people out there?? Should I pursue this?? Lady of the Lake...please contact me on this if you would, I also live I Manty.

I've been there recently too (with permission). The main building is extremely hazardous, with tons of debris, smashed fixtures, possibly a lot of asbestos floating in the air. No electricity, no working toilets. The floors are covered with broken glass, smashed fixtures, lockers ripped out of the walls and electrical boxes exposed. It's a true mess lurking in almost complete darkness, probably full of rats and other vermin. Heavy stuff can fall on your head without warning and for good measure you can be arrested, fined and even jailed if you don't have proper written permission to be there. May I suggest the safe, clean, fun Oshkosh Ghostwalk at Riverside Cemetery, over 100 acres of dead people, instead? (Ok sorry, had to get a plug in there... Katie

Thanks Katie...
I would suggest either, or both, as they will be at different times. I have a crew that is already interested, I just thought I would offer it to this forum. I am in the process of setting a date, gaining permission, and at that time, I will let the Law Inforcement of St. Nazianz know. I doubt we will be in any buildings at the time of darkness (for safty reasons), but there is a large amount of area that can be covered outside.

Hi ToddJ! I have had a horribly busy week in the past... I missed this posting until now, I am sorry!
And I am usually more attentive on this site!
I would be interested. I grew up very close to there (few miles away) and last was there in October when I met with Jerry on some potential volunteer work. Other than that time, I had only been to the cemetary and not talked to anyone. MIght this take place soon? or on a weekend? *crosses fingers for a weekend*
Please keep me posted on this... and yes, I am from Manitowoc as well.
If this was going to involve a group meeting first at a restaurant or something, I could help with some type of details or reservations? Again, please keep me posted!
Edit:And ToddJ, you do not have your screen name open for a private message or email... I hope you see this. I am already excited about this! *sense the happiness on a quiet Monday afternoon*

I'm thinking we can set a date (for a Saturday night), within the next month, or two. Just need to get Jerry up to speed. By the way...I did change my profile, so email me all you want. Thanks!
