lol that happened to me once when i was sleeping!!!! it scared me!!! but then it did it again and it was just my stomach annoying me cause i was hungry! lol.

That's interesting, but chances are a simple groaning noise isn't a ghost. It can be anything from an animal to a bodily funcion (i.e. a stomach growl), or even a heavy branch creaking... something like that.
Ghosts DO exist if you ask me, I'm a firm believer in ghosts, but if you think it was a ghost, you should put this in "General Paranormal", not "Cryptozoology". Cryptozoology has to do with supernatural beasts/animals/mutants, not disembodied spirits, entities, poltergiests or ghosts. :\

I also strongly believe in ghosts and the paranormal but I can be a bit of a critic or speakical about things. Because I know people who make crap up about it and don't take it seriously. But there are probably a number of explainations one even being it was a ghost. Who knows.

I also strongly believe in ghosts and the paranormal but I can be a bit of a critic or speakical about things. Because I know people who make crap up about it and don't take it seriously. But there are probably a number of explainations one even being it was a ghost. Who knows. That's my standing point exactly. The problem with ghosts is that there is almost ALWAYS another explanation. Like if a crash is heard in the background or if there's a banging noise... it could be a noisy appliance or maybe something like air ducts in a house; they are often VERY noisy when the air conditioning or heater is on. There are some solid evidence of ghosts though, like apparitions and, my personal favorite, EVPs (Electronic Voice Phenomena), which are disembodied voices, supposedly voices of spirits. I mean some people have even gotten responses to questions from spirits when recording an EVP session. It's really cool.  I learned a lot from morning shows on the radio and from watching "Ghost Hunters" on Sci-Fi. Pretty wicked stuff. A LOT of things are often debunked and explainable, but there are also a lot of cases with unexplained stuff, so it couldn't be anything else but a ghostly presence. |

Sorry to say this but the show Ghost Hunters is pure B.S. nothing real about it. You notice they never show the entire team and things that happen are never so in the clear that they can't say they had one of the team members do it. That's just my stand point though.
I love EVP's I did that once in my room with the lights out I didn't get a response exactly to my questions. I asked things like, who's here, and stuff like that. and I reviewed it and in the middle of the tape you can here like this ghostly old man's voice saying "HERE" old and clear you can't miss it. It was freaky but I know the spirit as our house ghost who is very peaceful and likes and looks after us so it was really cool.

A majority of ghost shows on television is nothing but B.S. so I wouldn't doubt Ghost Hunters is one of them. It's still a fun show to watch though. Yeah I prefer doing things myself with my own recording devices. It's one thing hearing it on a radio show or something, but it's so different when it's one you caught yourself. I caught one, when I lived at my old house. I asked a series of questions, the second one was "What's your name?", and a few seconds later, you hear a whispery voice; it's hard to tell if it said "Mary" or "Macy", because my recorder isn't top-notch or anything, but it was definitely a feminine voice. I've tried looking for history on that house, but nothing so far sadly. It could just be a wandering spirit for all I know. |

Yeah, your right it is still fun to watch, even though my mom and I watch it to pick out everything that we find fake and funny. lol.
I know what you mean. I've caught boot/foot noises walking down my stairs when no one was home and stuff like that I've only caught a voice once or twice but it's cool when it happens. Did you go to the library? they probably have something there if you didn't already check. If not your probably right it might just be a wondering spirit.
