I had many encounters with entities as long as I can remember. The most common occurance was with what my sister and I called the "The tall man in the brimmed hat". He was a shadow of a man in a long coat and a brimmed hat like a 1940's gangster. He would stand in the doorway of my bedroom at night. Only once do I remember him coming into my room towards me. I tossed the blankets over my head and hoped he'd go away lol.
I shared the room with my sister. We had bunk beds. I was on the top and her on the bottom. We never discussed the man until we got older and were surprised that we both saw him. She told me of the night she got croupe and ended up in the hospital. She remembered being very cold and seeing the man come towards our bed. She says he touched her and she lost her breath. I don't know if that was the same night I saw him come into our room or not and I dont remember hearing her gasp for air, nor do I remember my mother yelling to my father about rushing my sister to the hospital. I slept harder than ever that night for some reason though. All I remember is waking up in the morning wondering where Katt was. We don't know whether he came into our room to hurt her or because she was sick and because he touched her, she lived. The docs did say she would have died if she hadn't got to the hospital in time.
I stopped seeing the man for a while. My family moved a couple of times. Then one night there he was standing in my bedroom doorway. I was 14 years old at the time and that was the last time I've seen him. My sister recalls seeing him more often than I in the new house but says its been years since he's returned.

Oh I forgot to mention the feeling he gave. It wasn't a good nor bad feeling. Just that I'd lay in bed and stare at him till I fell asleep. I wasn't so much feeling like there was a monster in my room. It was more like not knowing what it was or even if I was really seeing it. It seemed to just say without saying "sleep", and I would. I do remember being afriad when I'd gotten older because I knew about the paranormal and saw even worse things by then that I knew were evil. But I can't say whether this shadow man was evil or not.

Hmmm actually reminds me when i was a child and we lived in a house where it was haunted. that was the 1st experience i ever had with the paranormal. I also saw "shadow People" like you have in my bedroom and also when i roomed with my brother. The shadow people never harmed me nor my brother. They just stood in the background and watched us sleep. They would dart in and out of the corners and doorways....walking around the room and suddenly disappearing just so they could reappear again.
