My BF and I drove pass the place last night and it was very intimating from the outside and im so happy that I nor my BF have to be housed in that place.
Anywoo, has anyone heard if this place is Haunted? I know there's the fake halloween haunted house of Stateville but, what about the REAL statesville?
I know they had many Infamous people housed there like : Capone but, if anyone has heard any stories about this place let me know.

I use to live just south of Joliet in Braidwood. I've been in Fond du Lac, Wisconsin for the last 20 years. It has always been very creepy going past Stateville on Rt. 53. Richard Speck was held there, along with John Wayne Gacy. They are responsible for two of the most horrendious mass murders in history. Even if they had ghosts there, I would definately find a different place to investigate. Stateville Prison is like hell on earth.

I totally agree that place looks from the outside "Hell on earth" i cant imagine what it must feel like to be locked up in there. Even driving past it gives me the creeps.

No we havent.....we are WI based so I dont think we will go into IL to do investigations. But, never say never.....have you been to Bachlor Grove Cemetery near Midlothian, or Ressurection Cemetery?

No I havent. I talked to Chad Lewis about Bachlors Grove and he said it's very run down and difficult to find. When I was on youtube, I typed in "Bachlors Grove Cemetery in the search window, and it has an investigating team from Wisconsin checking it out. I thought this might have been "swigs".

there are tons of things to investigate up here in WI before we travel down to IL.
but someday i think we'll check our resurrection Mary. but i thought i heard somewhere that she hasn't been seen in years.

i heard there hasnt been a sighting of Mary since the 1980s.....this tale of Mary has started a bunch of ghostly hitchiker sightings all over the country. I have read on one site a few weeks ago [cant remember which one] that there are several theories about Mary and some say it's just an urban Legend. Other say it's real.....I read somewhere that "Mary" isnt really her name and that the ghost that it is based off of died in a car accident and wasnt hit by a car. Also how the girl who got was killed in the car accident had brown hair and supposely "Mary" has blonde hair. Which also leads to more questions......It just makes the Story of her even more interesting.  I would still be interested in one day exploring that cemetery but, like Lacey said we have to explore WI before we head to our next door neighbor's state 1st. ;D |
