I'm going to be headed out to Jay Road in Boltonville this weekend from the Milwaukee area and am wondering if there is any other paranormal/haunted sites to check out on the way or near it. If anyone knows of anything else on the way or near Paradise Road in Jefferson from Milwaukee that would be appreciated also.
Also I know that leaving the roads and venturing into the woods is trespassing but has anyone ever had any trouble on either of these roads just walking down them, i've been to Paradise Road a few times but don't leave the car too much.
I have been to Jay Rd. I didn't see anything though. We did get out of the car and walked a bit down the road. You do get a real creepy feelings walking the road because you have woods on all sides of you. It would have been cool to see the house burning. If your coming up from Milwaukee you could swing by the Mary Buth home, but remember this is private property as well.
From my understanding there is 2 different hauntings on Jay Rd. The first one deals with a older lady's house being burnt down with her and her cats inside because the fire department couldn't get out there in time and she refused to leave. Apparently you are suppose to drive down the road and start to see cats along the way. Then at the end of the road you are suppose to see the house on fire where it stood.
The second one involves a female jogger and a drunk driver. Half way down the road there is a hill that dips down into a gully. Well it is said that a female jogger was out there one evening and a drunk driver hit her and sped off. Now when you hit this spot in the road you are suppose to see the jogger and basically hit her all over again. After you drive through her you can see her sitting in the backseat through the rear view mirror.
I didn't experience either of this. Sure was a creepy feeling road though. On top of the hill there is a stop sign that has bullet holes in it. When you shine it right with your flashlight it looks like blood is dripping down. It's a pretty cool effect.
