Hey guys, anyone in the LaCrosse area? I'm in NE IA(near Decorah) and have had no luck trying to form a group here. Can't seem to find anyone interested. So, I'm expanding my boundaries a bit. Looking for anyone around the area, if you're interested, let me know!

Western Wisconsin Paranormal Investigatiors Email spiritchasers@hotmail.com The other is Coulee Region Paranormal Investigation Society not positive how to contact the latter of the two. The CRPIS website has been down for a while. I think they are reorganizing. hope this is helpful.

Ya know some people with their groups are just looking for a good scare. They buy some cheap EMF detectors and digital recorders and basically just go out to try to scare themselves, they're just lookin for a thrill. Some groups actually want to help though. If someone is being tormented by spirits, I would like to be part of a group that goes through, and actually tries to help out whoever needs it. Gather as much evidence as you can and if we cant help whoever it is, then find someone who can. I have never been part of a group but thats my vision of what I would like.

To answer ghostseer169 The group I work with enters the haunted area or building in teams. Depends on size and location. If it is a large area we may have more than one team enter at a time going to different locations. We have video equipment set up and some members have knowledge of the haunt. Most members only know a small bit of info. That is because some members get impressions of things gone by. If they can tell us things that relate to the haunt it is just one more piece of evidence. We do a spirit Q and A leaving time for EVP response. We also have a few people with still cameras. temps are taken as well as EMF readings. Baseline readings are taken before hand usually at an initial walk through. All evidence is gone over later. But one of the most important things is after each group come out they write a small report on the spot. No talking to other members about what they saw. Evp are the most important evidence that we find. and they are checked out on a computer program. This is of course a simple quick idea of what is done. Most of our team has 6 or more years experience. The hard part is finding legimate haunts to investigate the worldis full of people that think they are haunted but ar not. As to usaftrevor the two groups in Lax area are both dedicated and honest. Mark Waldenberger Started the first group in about 1992. His group Coulee Region Paranormal Investigation Society (CRPIS) is well known in the region. At present he has taken time off ghost hunting as he is moving and reorganizing things .His website is also down at present. I look for him to be back at ghost hunting in the near future. Many of the old group have reformed into Western Wisconsin Paranormal Investigators. We Investigate Evaluate and Educate. We do not charge for our service, If we feel your property is haunted we try to help you deal with it. We do not tell spirits they must leave. If something is found to be evil that would be another matter. We would seek the help of clergy. Most things we have encountered are more playful. Actually many people are at piece with there haunting. They would only like more knowledge of what or who the spirit may be. Ghost hunting get expensive. So if you plan on attempting it be prepared to spend money. We have spent thousands between us for digital cameras and video equipment as well as basic EMF detectors, trifield meters, computer stuff, non contact thermometers, remote temp sensors, digital recorders, walkies, not to mention the paperwork gets to be overwhelming at times. But there are fun things too. Finding an good EVP is a thrill. But just knowing you have helped someone is a good feeling also. Hope this info is of some use to you. My name is Neil Nystrom. I'm one of the founding members of WWPI. You may write to me at spiritchasers@hotmail.com This is a group controlled address so put attention Neil in the subject line. That is if you have any further questions. Or maybe you know of a haunted location you need advice on. If you try any of this on your own do not go alone. And study up on what your getting into. Take care Neil
