Does anyone know if the Maribel Hotel is still being rebuilt? Does anyone from the area have a construction update?

Hey omw,
My husband and I went and visited Hotel Hell this past February and it looks exactly the same, there are no signs of construction or beginning construction. This was during the winter still so maybe they are making plans to do rebuild this summer possilbly?

Just an update... Went to Haunted Houses in Manitowoc last weekend and finally got a chance to stop and see Hotel Hell. Not sure about construction but the whole place has been gutted. Probably not being redone, I'm sure it was probably just done to deter trespassers. If you look close you can see here. Hope you enjoy the photo, it looks really awesome in person.

The place is amazing. Especially when you get past the tree line and there it is! Almost breath taking at first sight. It's too bad that nothing is being done with it. Seems like too cool of a place to just leave vacant or take down completely.

This place is incredible, and for each and every season... it's about 45 minutes from here, and it's worth the drive, just to stand in the ditch and stare, and take a picture or more... and wonder.
Many years ago, and in the years when I am old enough to remember anything... this place was in it's final few years. I know a few members of the family who own this property, it's interesting to listen to them talk about it...
