the island of no return of poveglia is the most haunted place in the world. supposedly 160,000 people were burned there during the bubonic plague. then in the 1920's a doctor was doing horrible experiments on the patients when they started seeing ghosts of the victims from the bubonic plague. later he threw himself off the bell tower because of he himself started to see the ghosts and went crazy. people say that noone wants to go there because of the feeling of evil. none of the venetians will set foot on that island and tourists are not permitted on the island. if anyone has any information on this island please comment!!
