To me it was definitely strange.
On 01-09-2008 at approximately 21:20 I was traveling south on County Road I a few miles east of Luck, WI. I noticed a dim light behind the clouds. I kept track of this light for approximately 10 minuted before I stopped in a church parking lot to get out and see what it was. When I got out of my car I could see two of these dim cloud covered lights. This is what got me to watch the sky, but these lights are not why I am writing. I continued on to HWY 48 then to CTH E. I turned south on E approximately 2 miles north of the Round Lake Indian Reservation. This is when I noticed what appeared to be a star in the sky over the glowing lights of Luck or Milltown. The star or light appeared to glow orange and was very low on the horizon. The one thing that caught me as strange was that the entire sky was over cast. There was not a single other star that could be seen. I could also see from the glow of the town lights that the clouds were hanging very low, so I am positive that this light could not be a star. I pulled over at the corner of 233rd Avenue and County road E to watch this light. I turned off all the lights in my car, inside and out, and got out to get a better look. As I watched this light, it appeared to be swallowed up inside the clouds. The clouds did not move over the light, instead the light seemed to back into the clouds and disappear. I waited for approximately 10 minutes and the light never reappeared. I plan on going back at about the same time tomorrow to see if a star is in the vicinity that I saw. I'll keep you posted.
