The Bartile Theatre, Club Majestic, Wery Road (15-20min Drive out of Madison but still worth the drive) The State Captial, The Big red Science Building on Campus, The old State hosp. On Northport Rd. And the Railroad tracks on Wabesa Street by Iron Works. Just a few locations that are have some activity. One of my personal favs. Is the bike trail on Willy Street....Alot of Activity on that trail. As well as the top of the big hill at Picnic Point. That is probally where I've personally found the most activity in Madison.
Hopefully this will give you a start to Ghosts in Madison -Hudson-

Don't forget the Seminole Road ghost (hasn't been heard from in decades though), the screamer of the Madison jail (unfortunately, torn down years ago) and the indian mounds on Bascom hill.
I personally experienced a couple odd things in Madison including spotting a black panther-like animal on the north side (at the garden plots off Troy Drive). It was out of the corner of my eye but it was broad daylight and my dog went nuts wanting to chase it. It disappeared immediately.
Also, the east side of town is interesting. I hear Orton Park on Spaight St has a few spirits. I think it's the site of an old hospital. When I lived off Atwood Avenue (2216 St. Paul avenue, the old house with the big porch near the former intersection with Division st.) strange things occasionally happened. The strangest, which I've told in another section of this board I think, happened on an extremely hot summer day. My neighbor in that house and I went out for awhile (probably to the bar across the street, Lee's Bar at that time, now the Harmony Bar) and when we came back, she found a half-eaten ice cream bar on the dresser in her bedroom. No one else had been there and the temp was easily in the 80s in that room. The ice cream bar had come from her own freezer. Who had eaten it and why hadn't it melted?
Years ago I lived in a house at 2419 University Avenue (that has since been torn down). Some friends were over and we were watching tv when we heard footsteps come through the front door and go straight up the stairs at a rapid clip. Thinking it was my roommates coming home from shopping, we ignored it until they really DID come home from shopping. As no one had come down (that we could hear or see) we sent boyfriends up there to see who was there! They didn't find anyone. I guess someone could have slipped out (and fallen) from the 2nd floor windows, but why bother? And who would have done that anyway?
Oddly enough sometime later, our landlord for that property died while piloting a National Guard jet, crashing it into a hillside. He was one weird dude who had an actual "bachelor pad" decorated completely in black and red! Austin Powers would have loved it.
