My name is Mike and I am 24 years old. I am a retired Army Specialist and currently working as a graphic artist. I currently reside in the Northwoods of Wisconsin. I have spent many weekends and evenings investigating the so-called paranormal sites in the area, including but not limited to Summerwind, in Land O' Lakes, Molly's Rock in Rhinelander, Fifield Cemetery, Calvary Cemetery in Tomahawk, and the Paulding Light near Watersmeet, MI. as well as Old Burial Ground Cemetery in Salem MA. and various other reputedly haunted places in Massachusetts. My personal observations of these sites have never led me to believe that any of them were legitimately "haunted". I often approach these investigations very scientifically. I like this forum because of Chad Lewis' straightforward approach. I am certainly interested in visiting more sites in the future. By far the most overated site I have visited to date is the Paulding Light in Michigan. Armed with GPS equiptment, and a team of willing friends we were able to drive six miles up the Hwy and signal each other with the headlights of our cars, as people watched the light "blinking" in awe. I'd love to share the details if anyone is interested of our investigation. I hate to be the spoiler all the time. Perhaps one day, somewhere I will see something I truely cannot explain. But I enjoy visiting the sites. My girlfriend Amy and I (both amateur photographers) have visited many of the cemeteries and done some photo-documentation of various local cemeteries, some with orbs, that I am inconclusive as the source, be it dust particles or actual paranormal activity. Feel free to email me if you are interested in organizing an investigation somewhere. I recently purchased an EKG so I might even revisit some old sites. See you all later, and happy hunting.

Yes of course you saw the lights, everybody does. Unfortunately the sad truth is that you are looking at the headlights and tailights of cars on the Highway. We used a Global Positioning System to plot out the coordinates of the spot where people view the light near the roadblock. Then, we drove approx. 5 miles north on the Hwy, I forget but I think it is 45. At one point, I could actually see the light, from the other direction! It was the lights of the cars watching us. We placed a call to our friends we left at the light and told them we would signal them in Morse code. Sure enough they signaled back, with a high powered spotlight. Some people don’t believe this is really what it is. I think they are just people who want desperately to believe it was something supernatural. If you were to draw a line between the points we signaled each other, it would have been perfectly straight. My friends and I approached the situation determined to prove the real cause, and within an hour we had all the proof we needed. Funny how on a Friday the lights are more red – people going north. Sundays – almost all white. Another point I should mention is the stretch of highway beyond the 5 mile point (or approx. 5 miles) is very straight. So you can actually see a car coming for a long ways away. Much like you can from the viewing point near Robins pond. but how do you explain the 2 eyes that bounce around the light. Maybe it is too good to be true that you can go on any night and see this, but i have many friend that travel up there on occasions and say if you stay quiet enough it comes close to you. One friend of mine said it came pretty close to his truck. how would you explain that. and no he isnt on drugs

Designerguy(sorry if I speeled it wrong) Have you ever visited Caryville(cemetary, old schoolhouse, and church)? We visit there often and get lots of pics of orbs, fog,etc... We video taped before and havent found anything unusaul on video except that we recorded a small amount of the school house and when we watched the video that part was not there. We dont have any of the fancy tools for investigating. We have used many different kinds of cameras at each occasion and still got orbs,fog,etc..In the summer time we go there quite frequently at night, sometimes we have the orbs and stuff and other times nothing. If this is a place you may be interested in investigating let me know, my hubby and myself would bewilling to go out there with you. We also have a posting on this site if your interested in checking it out, on main page go to ghosts and then click into caryville, our pics arent downloaded yet but will be shortly. thank you.

Designerguy,
I do not want to be nosey, but where in the Northwoods of WI do you live? My husband and I have a place north of Laona, and I have been interested in checking some of the "haunted" sites out up there, but do not have anyone to go with me.
