It's soon to be conference time again... and this time there will not be the crowd of the Presidential candidates with their speeches in the Fox Cities on the same night (unlike last year).
I am wondering who from here is all going to go? As I would be thrilled to meet you ppl!
Last year I pretty much stayed subtle... maybe it was due to being there totally alone? Or for finally having a night off of work?
Anyways... I am so thrilled this is coming up in 2 weeks! In my case, it is time to start Christmas shopping and pick up some more books from The Crew -- and to get them signed... and to sit and listen... and prepare for some road trip from one of these places before winter sets in... and possibly wonder how long it will take Richard to pick up all the papers he tosses? (*gulp* Hi, Richard!! *waves* I really want to hear about Mrs. Schmidt again... I find that story just incredible for some reason, and for the research you did on it... I still cannot come up with anything on the net)

Hey Lady of the Lake, We will make sure to tell Starbucks that you are coming. The fact that you can’t find the story about the Appleton Butcher on-line is common with many of Rick’s stories. I think people love his presentation because they have never heard these stories anywhere else. We will also be announcing a secret surprise that will be taking place at the Appleton Conference in the next few days. This conference will definitely be exciting.

*blinks* But are you a Starbuck's junkie too? I swear if there was a SB in my city I woudl die from happiness! And the local shops in my city are awesome as well... so I am not whining... Something to be unveiled? Let me guess... Go to Starbuck's and meet up with Chad and crew on information about ghosts they converse with at Barnes and Noble?
Or go to Riverside/Appleton and listen to Chad talk about the Conkey family plot there (which is all too cool and so close to Kate Blood's area as well) and about the awesome book store with the same name on College Avenue and if there is any link between the plot and the store?? Or perhaps a chance to see Chad and crew's pictures of mists and light balls and hear EVP's they recently captured? And now I will only wonder what the surprise is...or if you are a SB fan or not. ~carpe diem!!~

I really want to hear about Mrs. Schmidt again... I find that story just incredible for some reason... Hey Lady of the Lake -- yes, there WERE so many people who missed the conference last year, and since the Appleton Butcher case is one of my all time favorite stories, I will be talking about it, including a few extra details I picked up after last year. It's such a lovely Wisconsin Gothic story -- I was reading through it again just now, thinking how sorta mind-blowing it is for people who hadn't heard it before. The audience seemed to like it a lot last year. We'll definitely be going back to the Summer of Love! Hope to see you there. Richard Hendricks Weird Wisconsin

I would not miss the confr. tonight for all the Starbuck's drinks in the world (or the tea in China).
And to hear about Mrs. Schmidt is just too awesome... especially the way you tell the story, Richard.
So if Linda wrote a book about Myrtle Schaude -- you could write one about Mrs. Schmidt and sell it to us ppl who don't read Harlequinn Romance books, right??
See you later, guys... I am just thrilled you will be holding this in Appleton again...
